Cool Kid’s Bedding…That You (and they) Will Like

P3119917 Given the option, I'm sure R would choose some obnoxious Thomas-the-Train printed bedding.  Or, even worse, Dora the Explorer.  I, however, prefer Dwell Studio (chocolate dots in particular).

*snort*

We obviously do not agree.

But I just came across a few designs by Garnet Hill that appeal to both his design sensibilities (dragons!! monsters!!) and mine (clean and modern, please).  And equally cute options for girls (horsies!!).  Best of all, many of the prints come in comforter covers, so I can keep his down comforter in easy rotation.

Voila my favorites…

Not bad, eh?

  1. I have these sheets and promise you that they will used FOREVER. My 14 year old just gave up his space ship sheets and passed them down to his brother who is 9! My children ALL slept with us until they were 2 and the way I got them out of our bed was to buy them Garnet Hill Sheets. “Let’s go to your dinosaur bed!” What more could a boy dream of then to be surrounded at night by dinosaurs, space ships and CUTE monsters!

  2. I really like the one with the rockets! (I have 2 boys). The apples design is super cute too. And I totally agree with you… minimal TV and movie characters please. That’s why I chose a color block pattern from Target. Even though he loves Caillou and a couple other characters, we’re not plastering that stuff all over our house.

  3. I was just wishing that Pottery Barn would license Disney princess stuff last night. If anyone could make that stuff cute, they could. I’ll have to check this out!

  4. OHMYGOD thank you. We’re keeping The Pup’s room the same during the move, as I know it’s just a matter of time before he decides he wants puppies (or robots or dragons or whatever). Thanks for giving us some good options!
They remind me of Hanna Andersson prints. We have a dozen of her sleepers, and I love them for the same reason. It’s so hard to find cute, not cutesy, patterns for little boys!

  5. Laura – Too funny!! One of my good friends had their flannel sunflower print in HIGH SCHOOL….and 15 years later, I’m still coveting it. 🙂
Lisa – Caillou? My son is also obsessed. What is it with that little bald guy?
Robin – Nice pick!! Thanks for the link!
Jen – I’m doubtful, LOL! If you ever find sophisticated (but cute) Disney princess, let us know!!
Amy – Agreed on the Hanna prints. They are often “cuter” than what I usually buy…but still not cutsey. Have you seen the one with bugs and magnifying glasses?
Dawn – Seriously. Couldn’t agree more.

  6. I heart Garnet Hill’s bedding, I have the robots for my son…they have been washed a thousand times, and just get softer and softer, unlike his PB organic ones.
BUT…did you see that GH is no longer carrying boys clothes? Still have a line for girls, but no boys. Ticks me off.

  7. I like the green floral design of those comforters. I would like to find several of these with striking similarities as chances are, I will not find the exact ones that you have.
