Happy Friday, Mamas…

Popsicle time!!  Have you tried these silicon ice pop molds ?  LOVE.  They slide right off once frozen, and the base keeps little hands from getting too sticky.  I've been filling mine with juice and fruit blends…or this vegan pudding.  OMGCRAZYAMAZINGFROZEN.

I've also been meaning to mention…I just bought these straight-leg jeans from Abercrombie.  They are shockingly fabulous.  A perfect color, a perfect amount of distressing.

In other mom-style news, Refinery 29 did a piece on cool running shoes.  Totally worth a look.  And I found a bit of inspiration in WhoWhatWear's recent accessory report on bikes.  Some very chic, yet mom-friendly looks – I'll pin a couple.  And hat's off to Tori Spelling.  She rocked the sexiest pregnant-at-the-pool look I've ever seen.  Yowza.  That takes balls.  Or…uh…lack thereof.

I wanted to thank you again for all of your kind words about my cah-razy flight last week.  You guys.  Perked me right back up.  And on the same topic…this?  Made me laugh so hard.  Sing it, Sister.

i gotta ask, b/c those AF jeans are really cute, what’s the rise like? it’s been a solid 15yrs since i’ve set foot into an AF store. i definitely remember their jeans giving solid plumbers crack…

  2. Rachel – SO glad you asked. The rise is a low rise….but it’s come up a bit in recent years, so no plumber’s crack. It’s still not *quite* as high as I’d like. I was debating between this pair and their midrise skinny – it comes in the same perfectly destroyed wash (link below). I ended up with the straight legs for now because I prefer a looser jean in the summer. i’ll probably pick up the skinny pair come fall. In any case, the rise on the skinny pair was pretty darn perfect. http://www.abercrombie.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10901&storeId=10051&langId=-1&categoryId=72950&parentCategoryId=72950&topCategoryId=12203&productId=787677

  3. I desperately need some new jeans. The only decent pair I have right now is a great, pooch-covering high rise bootcut dark wash from White House/Black Market (who knew?) My other favorite has become a “for home only” pair of jeans, because I have worn them out in such a want as to create holes (!) on either side of the crotch! Have you ever heard of that?!?!

  4. Oops! Meant to say “high waist, wide leg,” not “high rise, boot cut!”
There’s a difference! There’s a difference. (Note: quote from one of my fave movies, “Romy & Michelle’s High School Reunion.”

  5. Wow!so cute jeans for me.i love that.I just sent this post to a bunch of my friends as I agree with most of what you’re saying here and the way you’ve presented it is awesome.

  6. I’ve never seen these silicon ice pop molds, but I’m definitely going to check them out. I looked last year for a good set of molds but must have waited too long because they were all out everywhere I went. Thanks for sharing.
