Giveaway: An Effortlessly Cool Bauble from A Common Thread

Mamas, allow me to introduce my new favorite jewelry designer, Stefanie from A Common Thread.  Stefanie is based in Brooklyn, and makes all of jewelry by hand.  Her ascetic is one part minimalist, one part vintage, and one part sofreakingcool.

I've been wearing her Peter Pan Collar Necklace everywhere – to work, date night, even out with the kiddos (it won't break).

Even better?  She's shockingly affordable.  M's first response after perusing her shop? "She should start charging more!  I LOVE."  My necklace (and most others) can be had for $40.  Seriously, Mamas.  Gorgeous little baubles like these…all $40 or under:

Stefanie is offering our readers a giveaway!  A $40 credit to her shop!  Which would pretty much get you…almost anything.  Or a couple-a-somethin'.

To enter, leave a comment on our Facebook page (or below, if you must…) telling us which of Stefanie's baubles you'd most like to win!

  1. I really love the brass bar necklace. And the onyx triangle one. And that double-layer green stone one! All gorgeous. Have added the shop to my etsy favs!

  2. I’m really torn between the red silk one and the onyx triangles. My son broke my necklace a few weeks ago and I haven’t had the chance to get it fixed. A new necklace would be a nice change!

  3. I love everything, especially the lapis statement necklace, but with a 7-week old son at home (and tey
rying to get this breastfeeding and pumping-at-work thing down…for the second day back at work, gulp) I think I’d pick the cheetah bracelet!

  4. Choose just one? That’s rough – this stuff is wicked cool. I think I’d go for either the amethyst fringe necklace or the pyrite and teal stones. It would have to be for date night, though, since my toddler would think they were great teethers…

  5. (Not on Facebook) LOVE the chunky chain bracelet in vintage brass! Beautiful work. Realized I don’t even own a single bracelet — certainly need to remedy that!

  6. After looks at her page I realized I have one of her pieces already, gifted to me by my sister in law! Talk about special and unique….
I’d love to add the quartz necklace to my collection, or even better, gift it to my SIL.

  7. The long minimal necklace with multi layered chains looks like a tough necklace to stand up to the demands of my children! I think this would be one I would wear all the time, it is minimal and would help dress up my tops. Great prices!

  8. I love the brass bow necklace, but I think I’d go with the Peter Pan – can imagine so many ways to wear it!

  9. Ok, I think the long minimal necklace with multi-layered chains is a no brainer that would look great with so many things. That said, there is just something so adorably whimsical about the bow tie necklace (particularly in the beige color) that I just can’t resist.

  10. I love the Peter Pan collar necklace, multi-layer, delicate silk and the bird bracelet! Such lovely creations!

  11. Art deco heart necklace ….. simple, beautiful, meaningful .. — heart within a heart … reminds me of me and my daughter… 🙂 —

  12. Facebook not cooperating with my wireless on vacay! Yes, I’m at the beach! Would love the laced with metal fringe…urban and feminine, my perfect combo!

  13. Love the silver bird bracelet, I have a birdie necklace that I love to wear with hoops; the simple red silk necklace is adorable as well, so simple, so sweet!

  14. Oh it’s hard to choose! Thank you for introducing this great jeweler! My favorite is the triangle onyx necklace!
