Cool Loungewear For Kids (For Pre-Ski, Apres Ski and Everything Else)

Gang, our Breck ski vacation was a dream – more pics coming soon.  But packing for the trip was a little nuts.  The entire trip was a Christmas Day surprise for the boys (and our flight left the next morning at 6AM)….so we ended up with only mere hours to pack skis, boots, poles, helmets…and anything else we might need.

Luckily, for the boys, I nailed it.  I somehow packed them basically one outfit each (in addition to PJs and tons and tons of skiing baselayers), but it was an outfit we could all live with (especially for a casual ski town like Breck).  If I were to call it like it is, the word ‘sportswear’ would be an apt description, but since I’m feeling fancy, let’s go with Casual-Cool Loungewear.  For Kids.

They wore this stuff pre-ski, apres-ski, and poolside.  Which pretty much sums up our entire trip.

Outfit Details

On Raines (oldest) –

hoodie: Tucker + Tate Nep Hoodie  – it’s a hoodie, but has some sophisticated styling details so it looks seriously cool with skinny jeans and sneakers.  (Also available in white with a black pocket – SO good.)

sweatpants: Under Armour ‘Sportstyle’ Jogger Pant  – his obsessed with camo never wanes.

On Pax (youngest) –

hoodie: Mini Boden Fleece Hoodie – this is basically the softest, snuggliest hoodie EVER.  Fleece inside and out.

sweatpants: Adidas Warm-Up Jogger  – classics.

Of course, it’s all they want to wear now, so I’m attempting to round up a few options that will work even in downtown Philly.

It’s me vs. sportswear.  Part 2.

For Boys

For Girls

Of course, leggings are always a solid choice but leggings are not sweatpants.  I’ve yet to find a pair of leggings that actually feel as good as sweats, ya know?

A huge thank-you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post!  The kids’ sportswear section at Nordstrom is so flipping good (especially for hard-to-shop for older kiddos), and this Mama realllly appreciates the non-obnoxious options.  As always, all thoughts, opinions, and product choices are my own.  And readers, thank you for your continued support.  It doesn’t go unnoticed, and is so very much appreciated!!

  1. Have you ever checked out Mini and Maximus? I feel like you would love their stuff. Small collections, but always super cool drop crotch pants and great tees and sweatshirts. Basically all I put my 3 yr old in. And they always have good sales!
