Scotti’s Perfect Everyday Outfit: Winter Edition

Well people, the snow is here.  You’ll probably be seeing me in a lot of boot/winter coat combinations in the next few weeks months, if I know Marquette.  Lately I’ve been wearing this outfit on repeat.   Ever since having Greenlea, I go from hot to cold and back again at the drop of a hat.  Layers are key.  A graphic t/oversized cardigan combo is perfect to throw on over jeans, leggings (and pj’s, if I’m being totally honest).  I’m always looking for t-shirts that drape well and aren’t too tight in the belly area . . . and if they say something funny (especially in sequins!) it’s a bonus!

In the spirit of Shana’s 2017 Style Resolutions, and finding “three perfect everyday outfits, per season,” I’d definitely call this look one of my go-to’s. Think simple, comfortable and a little unexpected (bar hopping optional…but encouraged):

Wearing:

Express Puffer Coat (similar, I’m also loving this North Face Parka . . . available in lots of colors and SUPER CRAZY WARM)

Rebecca Minkoff Graphic T: the tee is currently sold out, but I love the sweatshirt!

BlankNYC jeans: Currently half off, these are restocked all the time.  I sized up (to size 29) for a bit more room.

Timberland Boots: Available in lots of colors and surprisingly comfortable despite the heel! True to size.

Cardigan: I wear this one allll the time . . . from when I first get up over my pjs to when I want to layer for some warmth.  So comfy and soft!

Rebecca Minkoff Bag: Similar – the fringe is currently sold out.

    • Yes!! It may be a “fashion faux pas” but it’s just too freaking cold where I live . . . I just tuck them right into my boots! 🙂

  1. Don’t think I could do the text graphic for work…would love to see some image graphic tees (sans text) that could be used instead!

  2. Wat size are you wearing in the jacket? Also, if you sized to a 29 in the jeans to get that little bit of a slouchy look what size are you normally? On line they look like skinny jeans so just wondering how many sizes up from my normal size might I need to go.

  3. Thanks for being real about your jean size…nice to feel like this look (adorable, btw!) is achieveable in a size 29 rather than strictly for the 24-25″ waists.
