Bomber Jackets. An Easy, Statement-Making Transitional Piece

The weather has been wacked out here. 60s/70’s, when it’s supposed to be…cold. It’s been weird, ya’ll. Not that I’m complaining too much about it (ha…ha. Sorry those of you that are still getting snow and are feeling rather bitter about it by now), but it does mean that I’ve kinda broken into Spring territory already. I am really hoping this isn’t some kind of sick joke being played on us and that March doesn’t freeze over… Don’t you do it, Carolinas. Don’t you dare.

On that note, BOMBER JACKETS. They are easily the best transitional piece you can own for that weird end of Winter – early Spring period. It’s easy to throw on with a tee and jeans and it looks cool, so YEH. It’s one of those winners we all like so much.

Outfit Details

jacket: Who What Wear from Target, no longer available, but they do have a new floral style…very cute and would look awesome with black or white denim – ya know, I still love my Element Wammy Bomber Jacket though. It’s such a good one. It feels like a sweatshirt and looks awesome with jeans and  a tee.

tee: just some random, cheap white tee I picked up a while ago. I think I found it at Target? I just recently came across Madewell’s Crewneck T though…and it looks very similar to my own. Not to mention, it will probably hold-up a bit longer.

jeans: BlankNYC jeans – I chopped them myself from their Good Vibes Skinny Jean. I just wanted to try something new, but of course…it isn’t necessary to break out the scissors on them, if you’re not feeling it.

booties: Jeffrey Campbell Cromwell Bootie – great bootie. They are so much fun to wear!

cross-body: Big Buddha cross body, from a couple of years ago – their Tortoli Cross Body looks cool…and I also have my eye on Sole Society’s new Studded Cross body Bag …b/c there’s no such thing as too many cute cross body bags. In my opinion.

Shop Statement Bombers

I curated a little shop of my absolute favorite bomber jackets out there right now.

They are all unique, will give your outfit that boost…but can also all be worn day-to-day (MUY IMPORTANTE).

BTW: Amazon has an entire boutique dedicated to Bomber Jackets right now. They were creeping up the style totem pole when I first snatched one up, but now…they’re going to be a big YES this year.
If you’re looking for that sumthin’ sumthin’ to give your early Spring outfits a boost, a bomber jacket is a safe bet.
Cheers,

Cams

  1. Cam! You are adorable! My favorite bomber jacket, well I have two, has my initial on it. I have one with an “A.” The other one has my full initials, “AMK,” that I put on myself. Here’s a post with the red “A” one that I love: http://www.krembdelakremb.com/fab-40s-bomber-jacket/ . I’m like over the top Americana in this post, but it just sort of happened. I didn’t realize it until after I published the post. Hey, I’m representing the US of A over in HK!

I love your embroidered bomber Cam.

Love, Ann from Kremb de la Kremb

  2. What’s the sizing like on the BlankNYC jeans? I just ordered some for the first time and don’t know what to expect.

I love a good jacket, but can’t decide if the bomber style is for me or not. Somewhat related, I love how you guys put the price of the piece with the picture. It really helps me decide whether I should click or keep moving! lol

    • Yes! Awesome. I love that feature, too. It saves me time. lol. As for the bomber, I’d consider a more laid back, casual look…if you’re not sure about it. Seriously. Try on the Element, black & white one…palm print, $79. It’s in the boutique above! Cheers.
