Target Bikini Round-Up: BOGO 50% on All Swimwear Now

I think we can all agree Target is pretty great, yes? Yes. Sometimes for me it’s a LOVE/HATE relationship though; love the prices & selection / hate that I come for paper plates and always leave with an entirely new living room.

Well, you guys know how seriously we take swimsuit season here at TME.  It’s kinda a big deal. We’re always hunting for the best of the best in swimwear. We do because we love you, also because we each need – NO,  deserve at least one amazing swimsuit to get us through the summer. And if you spend any of your summers at the beach or pool, you know you need WAY more than one swimsuit.  Those top-of-the-line swimsuits can add up quick and for me it’s just not realistic to buy more than one a summer. So save your splurge swim for something a little more special and while we’re just chilling in the backyard by the pool, let’s rock our Target.

Every summer I find myself coming back to AT LEAST one Target swim piece again and again. Even if it’s a last minute vacation need or a impulse shopping trip purchase, Target’s a great option for cute and affordable swimwear. If you want to skip the actual store trip (and save some $ on that impromptu living room makeover) Target.com is great, too. But because it can all get a little overwhelming, I wanted to do the search for you guys. So selfless of me right? Ha.

Check out my choices for the very best bikinis Target is offering up right now OH, and they’re all BOGO 50% off. Did I mention I love Target?

Favs: Top Left Clockwise

Bikini #1

top – Shade & Shore’s Macrame High Neck Halter Top, $27.99. Hands down one of my two favorite tops. I tried this one on in store and it fit amazingly well. I’m usually about a 34DD and my biggest concern with tops is coverage. I’m all over the place while in my swimsuit, either playing beach volleyball or wrestling the waves so I need a top that keeps the ladies in line. There was no worry of that happening in this top. It comes in cup sizes and Like a halter top, it offers extra security like most halter tops AND doesn’t give me a uniboob.

bottom – Shade & Shore’s Wave Ruffle Cheeky Bikini Bottom, $17.99. Biggest surprise favorite. I’m really self-conscious of my bum, it’s not cute and round, it’s wide and flat. I usually avoid anything that draws attention to my butt like cheek accentuating ruching and ruffles. Well, I loved it AND it was super flattering.

Bikini #2

top – Mossimo Strappy Front Halter Top, $22.99. A simpler, sportier version of the first top. This specific top is great because it comes in seven great color options: ‘Snow Cap Blue’ (the light blue shade above),  Black, ‘Fruit Punch’ pink (medium tone pink), ‘Resort’ blue (bright cobalt), ‘Hot Melon’ (peachy, light pink), ‘Pink Crystal’ (neon pink) and white. It also comes in Small – XL AND a D/DD option,

bottoms – Xhiliration Strappy Hipster Bikini Bottom, $14.99. I have these bottoms and LOVE them. They offer more coverage in the back than the cheeky bottoms and the lower hipster waist fits my wider hips well but I found the size up to fit better. Also, this is one of my favorite bikini colors to mix and match with black.  They go great together.

Bikini #3

top – Mossimo Molded Cup Twisted Bandeau Top, $19.99. Usually I steer clear of bandeau tops, I learned the hard way that non molded cup bandeau tops aren’t very flattering for those of us with larger and *ahem* not so perky anymore, busts. But this one has durable molded cups and offers great coverage. It also comes with a removable neck strap.

bottoms – Mossimo Modern Keyhole String Bottoms, $17.99. I’m a BIG believer in adjustable straps on bikini bottoms and this is one of Target’s bestselling and highly rated pair of bottoms. These offer maximum cheek coverage. I recommend sizing up on these if you’re a hippy like me. ;

Bikini #4

top – Xhiliration Tassel Bikini Top, $19.99. A great no-fuss, basic top and one of my favorite halter designs. I find high neck halter tops to be very flattering because they lengthen the shoulders and accentuate the neck.

bottoms – Sun & Shade’s Extra Cheeky Bikini Bottom, $17.99. That’s right, extra cheeky but I’m slowly learning that some cheek isn’t a bad thing and maximum butt coverage isn’t always a good thing because it may cover more but it also widens my backside which is what I DON’T want to do.  So, I actually bought these too but I ordered a size up and honestly I would’ve maybe gone up another size if they had XXL. Four color options: Black, ‘Sea Breeze’ Blue (light turquoise), ‘Coral Rose’ (medium pink),  and White.

Bikini #5

top – Sun & Shade’s Summer Racerback Halter Top , $27.99. My other runaway favorite. Easily my favorite bikini design from  Target. I love the color and the boho contrast stitching AND this one comes in ALL THE SIZES. 32a to 38ddd, baby! I was so sad that they didn’t have my size in store but it is fully stocked online and currently in my shopping cart. Also, it’s one of the most highly rated tops with 23 five star reviews including a mom who is 4 months pregnant! There’s also matching bottoms that are not in the pic above.

bottoms – Xhiliration Keyhole Bikini Bottom, $14.99. I featured these instead because I have them and love em. Like I said above, I LIVE for side ties on bikinis and I love the double keyhole cutouts! They and teeny bit of sexiness and still offer coverage.

Bikini #6

top – Xhiliration Push Up Bikini Top, $19.99. A 5 star rated push-up option. It’s also underwire so it does the heavy lifting. Also nice is that the D/DD size has a fully adjustable tie back closure. Sizes SX – XL have hook back closures.

bottoms – Xhiliration High Waist Bottoms, $19.99. I adore these bottoms! I love high waisted bottoms, especially the strappy, side cutout, ones but with the extra pounds I put on after my car accident, I’m too scared I’ll look like a tied Turkey roast to try them on. These though have thick criss cross tabs on the side that is more modest and make these bottoms super cute.

  1. I went to 6 different stores for swimsuits this year with no luck! I went to my local Target and bought 4 of he best swimsuits ever! I’m a saggy D/DD( breastfeeding)! 🙂 I found several halter options sized D/DD. Also, I got the black high waist bottom featured here. Love it! I’ve received a compliment on each swimsuit! Thanks, Target!

    • I know, we’ve been sleeping on Target. I love how well they worked out for you- any favs you feel like passing on to us? I think so many of us are in the same situation as you were up top!

  2. Yessssssss, I’ve been thinking of sending in a few of my faves to recommend but I thought maybe you guys were too schmancy for Target suits.
Here’s my favorite one piece: nice ruching, good tan lines, and in a gorgeous green color for my pale skin: http://bit.ly/2s3bAMX Wore it on a quick childless Miami vacation where almost everyone else was topless (for real!) and I still felt relatively chic. A few months later back at home and it’s holding up great for regular kid pool and beach days.

Also I bought these bottoms: http://bit.ly/2tByBsd which look a little weird on the model but on my “fuller” butt ride up a little more to be cuter and somewhere between a regular bikini (yikes) and a high rise (which look bad on me since I’m short-waisted). I cannot recommend them enough! They are total coverage (any other mamas less worried about the back coverage than the – ahem – bikini grooming issue?) but still somehow look don’t look matronly but more cheeky/sporty girl.

I wear those bottoms with this strappy bralette top: http://bit.ly/2tWoMEC The one I have is white with black trim but can’t find that color combo online, maybe was only in my store? The white is lightly padded so no headlights issue 🙂 And it’s supportive enough for me, but I’m only a B.

Lastly, I top it all with a zip-up Rip Curl rash guard (props to Shana for suggesting that for playing at the cold midwestern beaches!) You have to size waaayyy up (I am small on top, got a large, and it’s still pretty tight!) but I really like it half zipped over the bikini top: http://amzn.to/2syGv7h

Thanks for letting me share these, love that Target is still on your radar!

    • heck, no! Never to fancy for anything cute, affordable and quality! : ) Thank you sooooo much for sharing! You’re the best!

    Jess,
You should order that ruffle bikini top for sure!! I have it and wore it for our beach vacation. I got the cobalt blue. I felt so pretty in it. I have a small chest and it helped balance my small upper body with my curvy lower body. You can wear the arms down for “off the shoulder ” or up for my coverage.

    • That’s all the convincing I needed, cobalt blue is another one of my favorite swimsuit colors. It’s so flattering and is a great one to mix and match with black top/bottoms. One question- how’s the material? Do you think it would offer good coverage and support for big busts?
