To recap, this winter capsule wardrobe update using five new pieces has been SO fun and surprisingly game changing. A minimal number of items has helped me really up my outfit game. WIN. Here are the five items and the first look. You can see the whole article on my first look here.
The Second Outfit
You know I’m a jeans girl, but if I’m attempting to take it up a notch I had to try a pant not made of denim, right? Well, graphic prints are my second favorite and a cool printed pant totally fits my London-inspired vibe here. Seriously my designer heart is happy. You know this.
I love this outfit because it’s cool, it’s black and white and blue (my favs) but BAM. It’s got a pop of color to take it to the next level. Apparently this is a new leaf…I’m excited about my foray into color over here! I just bought a pink rug for my dining room recently, too. More on that coming…
That pop of color is getting me through this winter. I swear. It’s fun. Try it. You may be surprised like I was! Electric blue is also huge right now, so if you’re more of a blue girl…
H&M Cable Knit Sweater – Loving this bright orange red for adding some fun color to my neutral closet. I think any bright color could work great…pinky, yellow, electric blue.
Madewell Ruffle Sleeve Shirt – Their tops in this chambray fabric are SO soft. Comfy for layering.
Rebecca Minkoff Nylon Julian – This is my new favorite version of the Julian. It’s so lightweight but it still looks nice enough for everyday.
Bright Tops & Sweaters
Grid Print Pants
I’d like to keep doing this kind of thing in the future. Thank you for your responses on that! It seems like that’s what y’all would like to see, too. Stay tuned for a good transition-to-spring outfit coming up next!
