There is a beach house in my dreams. I also style it there. Some of that is influenced by the years of growing-up spending summers in my family beach home. Some of it from visiting friends in magical beach places. Some of it is from renting some genuinely beautiful beach homes along the way. And a bit of it is because my mother taught me early on, that if you ride your bike very slowly, and are nice to people that are out watering their gardens and start up a chat by complimenting their beautiful home…chances are they will invite you in for a tour!!!! #islandlife #islandlove #reasonstorideabike
1/ Teak Mat
Teak Mats are jus the best at the beach! For knocking sand off your feet at the door, in a way that’s easy to sweep up later, or under the hose bib as a place to stand off the pebbles or grass to hose the sand off your feet!
If the Beach House in my dreams ever becomes a reality, this is the very first thing I will buy for that home. Words to live by, always…Salt Water is the Cure!
I love these in a beach house! Fill them with shells, sea glass, pebbles and all other beautiful things collected from the beach! Or fill them with sand and a candle. Or with extra sailing rope for practicing knots with kids! Or with the beach tags that always seem to go missing when they don’t have their very own special spot!
4/ White Stool
One of my very favorite stools of all time, in white, would be the perfect refresh for a beach kitchen counter!
These trays are beautiful, functional, and just nautical enough!
6/ Black Rocker
Rocking on the porch of a beach house is one the most very relaxing things anyone can ever do! This is by far one of the best looking, best priced rockers out there!
Simple, beautiful, a little bit nautical!
Beaches and their often pebble and sand yards are such a great place for 4 Adirondack Chairs around a fire pit!!!
This tray just says, come sit, it’s happy hour to me! But would also look lovely serving simple mint lemonade too.
These have become my go to. They dry so fast, come in all amazing patterns and colors. Aren’t at all heavy to carry when you are the person who totes 6-10 towels to the beach. I wrap mine around my waist as a cover-up. My kids have come up with 4 ways to tie theirs as skirts/dresses/tops. They are just a simple easy luxury!
Here’s to dreaming of warm weather and beach time (hopefully) soon to come! xoxo A
