Hey guys! Here are some of our favorite President’s Day sales pieces so far. Don’t do anything we wouldn’t do…(;

It’s reader style time! We were thrilled to get the following note from Amelia:
I’m an Australian mum who has very recently moved with my family to Singapore. I’ve been an avid reader of the Mom Edit since we were posted to Calgary a few years ago and I was pregnant with my little boy. Your blog is very often the only non-business reading I get to do anymore, what with working full time and having two little people.
Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for such a great blog. Over the last two years my style has evolved as a direct result of your ideas. As you can see, I’m still a bit conservative (the pearls!), but those J Brand cargos as the absolute best weekend pants. You’ve also converted me to Free People, thus the top. And floating around that plane seat somewhere is a lovely tan Rebecca Minkoff backpack holding various kid stuff. (By the end of the flight I was unfortunately adorned in vomit. But I still looked good, darnit!)
My work style has changed too. Still conservative, but I’m pushing myself to try things outside of my comfort zone. (The best description of my work style previously comes from a member of my team who told me I dressed like a Qantas flight attendant!)
Anyway, thanks for all of your great articles.
We were delighted to get the following note from reader Danielle:
This one is for Jess…my beloved Itat cardigan was at it again today for a trip to see the Nutcracker with all 3 of my girls. When the baby was ready for a snack, I slipped her right under and no one was the wiser. SO much more subtle than throwing a gigantic piece of floral fabric over my shoulder! I wore it a ton when I was pregnant, too, because my torpedo belly just grew right out through the middle!
Forgive my weak styling and selfie skills…hopefully you get the idea 🙂 And take note of the Rag & Bone Dre jeans I finally splurged on when my post partum body stabilized! THANK YOU Mom Edit for the work you do so that I can spend my time with my crazy girlies instead of searching for cute jeans!!!
In a world where we center ourselves around phones and screens, a change of pace is always a good thing. Whether you love game night because it sparks great childhood memories, or you’re just a downright competitive beast who welcomes any opportunity to win (no shame) the holidays are the perfect time to bring out some fun…AND a little (or a lot) of spiked eggnog.
The TME team are no strangers to game night so we’ve rounded up some of our absolute favorites for adults. Some require a little critical or quick thinking and others are just plain entertaining. Either way, if you’ve got the right crew you’re in for a good night.
Hi, all! If you’re anything like me, you’re sitting in front of the computer right now after a (give or take) 5-day Thanksgiving food and drink bender, slightly delirious from the food coma thinking, “December already?” In my mind, summer was in full swing about 5 minutes ago. Sigh.
To get past my seasonal denial (it’s a thing) I look forward to holiday parties and get-togethers to get me through the colder days ahead. Hey, just because I can’t stand the weather doesn’t mean I can’t embrace the season, right? My December calendar is already looking full and I’m guessing by now, yours may too. I’ve got my outfits covered (thanks to a little inspo from my TME teammates) but now’s the time to stock up on whatever catches your eye, from multi-purpose bags to fun containers and tea towels for wrapping up gifts of food, wine or whatever! ModCloth is a one-stop-shop for ANYONE. We’re talking girlfriends, guys, moms, neighbors, and everything is unique, affordable and most importantly, stuff I’d actually love to receive.
SO – Let’s talk holiday hostess gifting. *Drum roll please…*
Don’t get me wrong, all gifts are great gifts if you’ve taken some time to consider the work/money/time your host or hostess has put into the gathering and picked something special to show your appreciation. But I’m going to play devil’s advocate here – we
might need to leave ugly gift wrap in 2016. Not to mention, non-reusable ANYTHING (plates, lunchboxes, napkins) is slowly but surely becoming a society no-no. Lucky for us gifters, retailers like ModCloth offer endless bags that are pretty enough to present as a gift but functional enough to use again. Mix up your gifting strategy this holiday and try something new – it’s kind of your civic duty. Plus, your hostess is going to love it.
