Nordstrom’s Half-Yearly home sale is so. flipping. huge. this year! What an awesome post-Christmas gift! I edited it down to just my absolute faves which took a while but was a blast. I’m seeing major discounts on the best indoor/outdoor Dash & Albert rugs, Dwell bedding, cozy Barefoot Dreams throws and pillows and all kinds of fun stuff to warm up your house this winter.
Ahh, the post-holiday slump. I always get sad when Christmas is over…but, not this year. For many reasons, 2016 has really blown it as a year. I saw this quote the other day on Facebook…
Fellow Arrested Development fans, hear Ron Howard’s voice? Yeah, so, I do love Christmas lights and all, but let’s get on to 2017, shall we!!
Gang, we’re almost packed and ready for our trip tomorrow….but I wanted to quickly publish my post-holiday sale finds. I’ve been eyeing many of these pieces for months so YAY.
My fav pieces aren’t from any one retailer, rather these pieces have been curated (snort – so fancy, the post-holiday me) from a ton of different online shops: Shopbop, Revolve, Nordstrom, Gap, Boden, etc. Enjoy! (And please share any epic sale finds so we can all bask in each other’s shopping genius.)
NOW I’m off to finish packing. Mike keeps threatening to haul my suitcase downstairs and NO. NOT READY. Come say hi on IG (@shanachristine) – we’ll be carving it up in Colorado (and our Christmas morning scavenger hunt with the boys was a wild success. More later!).
Onto the (highly edited) sale edit….
First of all, most of the retailers that we covered as part of our Black Friday coverage, have extended their sales into Cyber Monday. For a full list of all of our sale round-ups (Madewell, JCrew, Allsaints, ASOS, Modcloth, Sole Society) in one easy-to-find place, visit our Holiday Sales tab.
Four new and notable round-ups have been added today:
Nordstrom – Deeper discounts on many sale items
Best for: Anything, really. This might be the most comprehensive sale of them all. We found items to love in womens, kids, mens and home. Also keep in mind that Nordstrom will price match – so if you’ve been eyeing something that Nordstrom carries, give them a call. They’ll match the price (and you’ll still get free shipping and your Nordstrom points.)
The entire TME team did a round up of what we’re actually buying here.
Amazon Fashion – 30% off selected Frye boots
Best for: Tough, comfortable boots you really will wear all winter (yet aren’t ‘snow boots’).
Full round up of my favs here.
Anthropologie – 20% off full priced items, free shipping on orders over $150
Best for: interesting tshirts, cozy turtlenecks, party dresses…and maybe those home items you’ve been eyeing.
Full round up of our favorites here.
Banana Republic – 50% off everything
Best for: cold-weather accessories, cool party jewelry, and men’s clothing. The women’s clothing is very picked over.
Full round up of our favorites here.
More Cyber Monday Sales Worth Knowing About
Jenu Ultrasonic Infuser – Have you heard of the new ultrasonic wands that help your skin absorb anti-aging products at a deeper level? I’m totally intrigued. Jenu just sent me a wand to try (it arrived today!!) so I’ll share my thoughts soon. In the meantime, HighYa did a really in-depth report. If you’re ready to try it, Jenu is offering the system at 50% off, tonight only….
Land of Nod – 20% off plus free shipping. This is where I get all of my kids’ bedding…..
Minted – Need holiday cards or photo gifts? 20% off EVERYTHING.
Splendid is now 40% off (up from 30% off).
Zimmerman – I know it’s odd to be shopping for swimsuits right now, but this Australian designer is offering 30-50% off all suits. The reason you care? Those jaw-droppingly beautiful suits that pop up at Anthro every summer, but you never buy because they’re too expensive, and then they sell out before they can even go on sale? Yes? ZIMMERMAN.
Ok, Gang. One of our very favorite retailers is in on the Cyber Monday game. Free shipping, free return shipping (with the pre-printed, sticky label included in the box), and the best return policy EVER…..Nordstrom.
Additionally, Nordstrom price matches, so if there’s something you’ve been eyeing on sale elsewhere, give them a call. Poof. It’s done.
Keep reading to see what The Mom Edit team is currently adding to our Nordstrom carts. Some of us are shopping for our littles, some for our guy, some for the home…..and allll of us are doing a little shopping for ourselves.
The DEALS you guys. THE DEALS.
Select styles of Frye boots and accessories are 30% off at Amazon right now. We’re talking boots lined in shearling, perfect crossbodies, and that cool leather bracelet substantial enough to pair with a chunky sweater.
We’ve been longtime fans of Frye around here – you’d be hard pressed to find boots more durable (I inherited a pair from the 70’s that are still in great shape), and the styles are always interesting enough to prevent boredom. Even after years of wear.
Keep reading to see my Frye favorites, including the boots I ended up buying. (All 30% off – discount taken at checkout, I believe.)
Banana Republic is offering a whopping 50% off of your entire purchase. And the best part? They’re not excluding ‘Editor Picks’ from the sale. Truth be told, the women’s clothing is really picked over, but the accessories? Both cold weather and party-ready? OH YEAH.
Also, men’s. It’s good.
Keep reading for my favorite pieces for both men and women….
Sooooo….this is annoying, but Anthro was offering 30% off everything last night, yet this morning it was only 20% off full-priced items. Not sure what happened there (Cyber Monday, you guys! C’mon!)…but they also threw in free shipping over $150 which is a fairly easy price point to achieve.
So OK. Fine.
I’m willing to continue because the stuff is on sale is the type of interesting basics we go crazy for over here. Think T-shirts with cool details: a tie waist, a swingy shape, interesting necklines/sleeves/cutouts, a strategically placed ruffle….to seriously cozy sweaters (I’m all about the turtleneck)…..or gorgeous, party-ready dresses. (And lastly, if you are in the mood for a little lingerie, Anthro’s selection of intimates is hard to beat.)
Here are my favs:
Have you guys heard of AllSaints brand? They’re one of my absolute favorites, if I could live in a brand, it would be this one. They’re a bit on the pricey side but the quality is so insanely lux, and their modern/minimalistic styles are some of the best. I go to them when I need a wardrobe essential like a knit sweater, a collared button down, or a biker jacket that are interesting…yet will last forever. OR…when they have a sale.
If you haven’t shopped Asos yet, you’re missing out. They have really affordable prices and a super cute range of pieces, from fun and flirty to classic British style. Scotti and I both love Asos. My favorite trench coat is from here and when I saw the Doc Martens were on sale today, the 90’s girl in me fell in love even more. Use code THANKFUL30 for 30% off everything. Check out my favorites:
