10 Comfort Sandals (That Are Actually Cute!)

One thing always high on our priority list? Comfort. I rarely risk comfort for the sake of fashion. Yeah, sometimes I wear super high booties or heels and miiiight have sore feet by the end of the night – on special occasions. But it’s rare, and, for the most part, those days are long gone. And I cannot emphasize it enough how important comfort is for my mood, haha (clearly).

I’d say comfort is especially important in the summer — and I find sandals to be the least comfy shoe to wear (and the heat sometimes adds an extra layer of uncomfortable). Maybe it’s a me-foot problem, but…anyone else?

So, it’s been my mission to find sandals that are actually comfortable to wear (even in the heat) without risking my lewk. Comfort sandals, prevail.

Our Top 10 Picks for Cute & Comfy Sandals

Linzi’s our reigning queen of comfort shoes with all the ultimate guides, so I’ve taken some notes from Linz, Shana and the rest of the team for our roundup. I stuck with common comfort sandal brands like Sorel, Birkenstock, Kenneth Cole and Naturalizer, as well as a few new-to-me comfort shoe brands (like Beek). Here are 10 seriously cute pairs.

1. Sorel Ella III Slingback

At Zappos

Naturally, I am eyeing the neutral colorway (I can’t help myself – click through to see), but I wanted to include one colorful option in this round-up for a little fun. I’d wear these with a button-down and shorts matching set (in beige, maybe?) in the summer. Sorel is known for their cool, sporty styles, so seeing this sandal was a nice surprise.

2. Beek Gallito Metallic Slide Sandal

At Nordstrom

You may have seen Shana wearing these last summer, and they’re definitely still sticking around this year (molded memory foam footbed, too). They’re the type of understated slides that go with anything and always look sleek. It’s basically the older sister of the casual cloud slides that were all the rage…just more elevated, durable, better for your feet and…chic-er.

3. Teva Midform Universal Grooveline

At Zappos

There’s something about Tevas that has always caught my eye (beside the comfort). They’ve been a team fave for hiking and camping (Laura can attest to this), but this neutral pair feels especially chic for city adventuring.

4. Gentle Soles By Kenneth Cole Helen Slingback Sandal

kenneth cole

At Nordstrom

The Gentle Soles by Kenneth Cole line is known for comfort. And this footbed is a good example of why – it’s listed as a PORON®-cushioned insole with arch support (and is removable, too). As for the style, this is that perfect tan summer sandal that works with alllll the outfits.

5. Birkenstock Arizona Soft Footbed Sandal

birkenstocks

At Nordstrom

Birks have been a team fave shoe for years. TME is actually what got me so into them. I used to think they weren’t my style, but after seeing everyone make them work for their own personal look, I knew they could work for me, too. That metallic is really calling me. And the best part? If you hate breaking in Birkenstocks, the “Arizona Soft Footbed” style is much softer, and needs no breaking-in!

6. Clarks Serina 35 Ankle Strap Sandal

At Nordstrom

I loveee these. I’d wear them with a pair of rich, blue, wide-leg jeans or even lightweight trousers. A hot-weather office look perhaps. Per usual, Clarks includes a nicely cushioned insole.

7. OluKai Tiare Slingback Sandal

comfort sandals

At Nordstrom

This is the sandal that started Shana’s yearly quest for the perfect tan sandal. I get it. This color. And the straps. Simple, but they still stand out in the best way. I’m also tempted by the black and metallic options. This might be my top comfort sandals pick. Decisions, decisions.

8. 27 EDIT Naturalizer Grace Ankle Strap Sandal

At Nordstrom

When it comes to comfort sandals (and heels), Naturalizer’s are Linzi’s favorite especially for weddings and special occasions. They’re a true comfort-shoe brand but they have a ton of great (and cute!) options. With the small kitten heel, this is the kind of slightly-fancy sandal I’d wear with full-length jeans for a nice restaurant outside kinda day. I’m currently eyeing them for an upcoming wedding that I’m in, too.

9. Cole Haan Jitney Sandal

At Nordstrom

If you’re looking for a comfy summer sandal with a little somethin‘…these. Beside the gorgeous knot detail, I appreciate that the straps are super skinny with a tiny buckle. It helps make the sandal still feel understated and wearable, but not boring. Like most Cole Haan sandals, these have a memory foam–cushioned footbed, with arch support.

10. Naturalizer Galaxy Slingback Sandal

naturalizers

At Nordstrom

I had to throw in another sandal-heel from Naturalizer. And I mean this in the best way, these look like the perfect dancing-all-night kinda shoes. Loving that champagne color, too. These sandals have a cushioned footbed with Naturalizer’s Contour+ technology, and while there’s only three reviews so far, they’re all 5-stars.

Stay comfy!
