Shana knows I’ve been eyeing her Everlane Re:Down Puffy Puff Jacket ever since it arrived, patiently waiting for her to say she’s tired of it, so I can generously swoop in and offer to take it off her hands. I don’t know if that’s going to happen, though. It’s so cute, so soft, so comfortable, AND it’s made of recycled materials. I have a feeling she’s keeping that one around for a while.
I may have already taken this Everlane ReCashmere Gray Waffle Sweater off her hands, borrowed her red Everlane Day Heels, played dress-up with her white Everlane Boss Bag in her entryway mirror, and plotted borrowing (truthfully, more like stealing) maneuvers every time she wore her gorgeous Everlane Black Boxy Sweater over her workout clothes to dance class.
It was beyond time for me to place an Everlane order. My plan was to (on my own) check out a couple of Everlane’s new puffer coats (because they look ah-mazing!), as well as a couple pairs of their boots (since I like their flats and heels so much), but then I shamelessly shouted, “I’ll do it! I’ll do it!” when the topic of a sponsored Everlane post came up in a recent meeting.
I am usually drawn to crazy wild prints, bright bold colors, and playful style. I’ve always thought that Everlane didn’t quite match my aesthetic, but obviously my “borrowing habits” from Shana’s closet have proven me wrong. What I’m realizing is for daily casual style, I really like good, simple basics with a touch (or pop) of fun. Everlane TOTALLY delivers for this.

Monochromatic + Pops Of Color: 2 Minimal-Chic Everlane Outfits We Love
1. Blues With A Pop Of White
I fell in love with this puffer as soon as I saw it online. That color!!! I knew it would be easy to wear with a contrasting wild pom pom hat and a bright backpack for a playful look, but I wanted to see how I could tone it down a bit as well. I’ve been wearing it as a monochromatic look with blue denim, a dark navy sweater, and a navy bag–having the pop of fun be the white shoes instead of the coat itself. I think it works!

Outfit Details
The ReNew Long Puffer (S) (Cobalt): The XS fits, but I personally like the bigger more oversized look of the S. The coat has a really nice heavier feel that’s exactly how I like my big puffers for winter. I wore it two miles walking in cold drizzly rain Friday night, and managed to stay toasty warm and dry. Initially, I struggled a bit with the zipper, but you just have to make sure it’s aligned and pushed all the way down when you start it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the cobalt color, but it also comes in black, green and navy. And now for the coolest part…wait for it…wait for it…this coat is made with 60 renewed plastic water bottles!! 100% recycled fabric and 100% recycled PrimaLoft fill.
Cashmere Square Turtleneck (XS) (Dark Navy): This is the sweater I’ve been plotting to borrow (steal) from Shana. It’s perfect. Perfect shape, perfect softness, perfect neck height. 100% Grade A Cashmere. Remember last year when I said I didn’t wear cashmere because it’s too hot and uncomfortable? Turns out, I just wasn’t wearing the RIGHT cashmere. I’ve worn this the past 4 days in a row. My new favorite sweater for sure.
Cheeky Bootcut Jeans: (27) (Classic Blue Wash) These are a great option if you’re bored with your “normal” jeans. I really like the two-tone in the classic blue wash. I hacked them off and may go even a tad bit shorter, so they sit right at the top of the boots.
The Day Boot (TTS) (Ecru): Everything I hoped for. Beautiful buttery-soft leather, clean simple styling, and just as comfortable as the Day Glove flats (which are VERY comfortable). The Ecru is a perfect color for a bootie refresh–I’m so happy with them, but I have to say the lavender, smoke and brick also caught my eye.
The Everlane Form Bag (Navy): Laura does a full review of this bag here. It’s definitely a winner and comes in the prettiest colors. AND…my 13-inch laptop slides in (not much room to spare, but it does fit)!
2. Blacks With A Pop Of Red
This is a very typical everyday outfit for me. Wear all black, throw on something interesting — easy, done. I like wearing a similar pop of color (but not an exact match) in the coat and scarf, so when the coat comes off, I still have a pop of color around my neck.

The Re:Down Puffy Puff: (S) (Dark Spice): Shana has this in an xs in black, and it’s one of the items I’ve been plotting to borrow (steal). It’s like wearing a cloud–super-lightweight and soft. I usually like my puffers a little heavier, but because this is shorter, I’ll wear it on not- absolutely-freezing-days, so the weight feels fine. 100% recycled shell and fill.
Kick Crop Jean: (27) (Washed Black): One of my new fav jeans. The kick, wash and fit are just right…may hack them off a bit shorter, though.
Cashmere Lantern Sweater (S) (Black): The sleeves are so pretty on this simple black sweater…just a tad bit of interest to give your basic black sweater some oomph. The size s gave a nicer blousier look on me than the xs.
The Trainer Core (Black): These were a surprise love! I thought they would be “fine”, but they’re definitely MORE than just fine. They feel like a cushy workout sneak, but with a much more modern stylish vibe. Sustainable Pick–learn more here.
Boss Bag (Black): I’m usually a strict backpack gal, but I’ve been trying to branch out a bit. I knew I would like this one since I’ve been playing dress-up with Shana’s white one in her entryway mirror every time I see it. Really big, so fits all the stuff. I’ll say, though…it does look quite a bit nicer when I don’t overstuff it.
The Cashmere Scarf (Red): Soft and beautiful. Would be such a great gift!
