So I Tried These: Lace-Up Knee-High Gladiator Sandals

Ever since I saw OE’s post on summer sandals, I’ve been drooling over these gladiators by Aldo.  When I saw that they were under $100, my decision was made (“El Cheapo” strikes again).  As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve always been a heels girl, but…times change.  And when the little one starts to get mobile (and she really, really wants to be mobile) . . . my high heels may not cut it.

But who cares about high heels when SHOES LIKE THESE EXIST?!?  (Baby Greenlea agrees.  Obviously.)

You don’t even want to know how long it took to get this shot right . . . lots of outtakes.  Lots of them.

Sandals: Aldo

Dress: Shift Dress (similar and available in fun colors)

Jacket: Old, Similar stretch military jacket here and four-pocket military jacket here

Bag: (Similar) faux leather backpack (big enough for diapers, wipes, toys, etc.)

Earrings: Ear crawlers from BaubleBar

Bracelets: Kendra Scott and similar gold cuff from BaubleBar

Greenlea’s Outfit

Bottoms: Old Navy Baby Jeggings

Top: Old Navy Striped Peplum Hem Tanks for Baby

I was worried that these would dig in to my legs or fall down as I wore them, but neither happened.  The laces are totally adjustable for different leg sizes . . . it takes some time to get them adjusted perfectly, but once they’re adjusted you don’t have to keep messing with them.  The zipper on the back makes them easy to get on and off and I tied them in a knot in front so they wouldn’t come undone.  I think these would be the perfect shoes for weddings or outdoor parties–days when you want to look good but have to be on your feet for a long time.  I am SO happy I found some shoes that are flat AND can still give my heels a run for their money.  G isn’t walking yet, but she is bound and determined to start . . . Mama needs some stylish shoes I can run after her in!
