White Flats Styled Two Ways

White shoes have eluded me for years. I guess 2018 is proving to be the year they don’t anymore. Hooray!

You may have seen my recent post about finding white sneakers I actually like. Well, have no fear…I’ve now found white flats, too. They’re just fun you guys…a fun summer update and a good alternative to sandals. They’re office appropriate, too. So…score. And they have that bit of edgy detail I love.

Per usual, I’m styling them up two ways for y’all so you can see a bit of versatility and picture how you might also wear them. And, spoiler alert, there are NO joggers in this post! (That’s for you, Shana. All for you.)

White Flats With Black & White

Outfit Details

Dolce Vita Ramsay Mule – Love these. The leather is soft and the footbed is cushiony. They have an actual sole and a tiny bit of a heel so it doesn’t feel like you’re barefoot like some flats, if that makes sense. Support. They have some support. They fit true to size and are available in black or a denim fabric, too.

Splendid Very Light Jersey Tee – (similar) Mine is old but this light jersey Splendid tee looks amazingly similar and the v neck is fun with the pretty halter bralette.

Anthropologie The Essential Stripe Slim Trousers – These. You may have seen them on my IG stories (@elletrain) recently. I fell in love right away. I don’t own many trousers but I don’t need to because I now have these. They have gorgeous button detail at the ankles. Fit TTS. Wearing Size 4.

Free People Galloon Lace Halter Bra – LOVE this thing. It’s so pretty under v neck tops or works well under racerback tanks, too. I wear a 32DD and a Small works well for me in this. The cup coverage is pretty good. I use my swimsuit or other bra liner pads for light support in this and it works great.

Express Textured Double Diamond Earrings – I’ve had these since December and I’m stoked they’re still available. They’re a go-to because they’re delicate, comfy and look good even with my glasses (glasses wearers know it’s hard to balance earrings out with your specs)

Vince Camuto Fava Crossbody – (similar) Mine is older Vince Camuto, but love the metal closure on this one.

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick – Scotti loves this and now I see why. It’s such a great staying lip color but it’s easier to remove than some I’ve tried. I’m wearing color Rubino for a nice deep red. It’s a little tricky to put on such a dark color but just have a baby wipe ready for those edges. Ha.

Free People Summer Thing Tank – This color. And the way the tank is cut on the shoulders and of course that funnel neck…all lovely. Wearing size Small.

Abercrombie & Fitch High Rise Girlfriend Jeans – I love these mom jeans. They’re soft and amazing after breaking them in a bit. The rips and lighter wash are great for warmer weather when you still want a jean option. I don’t know that they offer the raw hem version anymore, but I’m loving that Shredded Dark Wash that is perfectly faded on most of the leg. And the Super Light Wash does have a more ripped hem and is so pretty.

Rebecca Minkoff Julian Backpack – I love a soft gray bag for summer. It goes beautifully with all these lighter shades and just blends in and feels summery. Mine’s the older full size, but this medium size is great for a lighter summer bag.

Mac Satin Lipstick in Twig – This is a go-to color of mine for a long time now. It looks pretty and one step up from a soft gloss but not like a heavy lip color. I LOVE it and will always own a tube.

I feel like white shoes this time of year just feel fresh. I think this pair works because they’re slightly ivory in tone and not super bright and glowing. Have you hopped on the white shoe trend? Let me know your favorite way to style them up!

On a side note, my little gal turns FIVE this Sunday, you guys. FIVE. How is that possible? Kindergarten visit today, too. All the feels, for sure. She’s so ready though to grow up. She’s always been like 30 years old really. From day one. Haha.

She’s already the woman I want to be when I grow up…strong, creative, funny and clever. She’s really just here to teach ME everything and definitely not the other way around. It. Is. Hard. You guys. But oh so sweet. And an oh so crazy rollercoaster, this parenting thing. Happy Birthday Little Spicy…you sure hung the moon…and then danced around it.

I’m not crying YOU’RE crying…

Love that Free People top! And I forgot about how perfect MAC’s Twig is until you just reminded me! I need to get some again. And I feel you on the parenting thing. I have one that will start college and one going to high school in September. College!!! When we were doing school tours, I kept feeling like I still fit in on the campus. I had to remind myself I was there for my son. It’s crazy. The saying “the days are long but the years are short” has never been more true to me than it is now. Have fun this weekend and happy birthday to your little 5 year old!!!
