How We’re Keeping It Comfy and Cute with Modcloth

With the baby’s due date rapidly approaching, I have NO desire to spend any more money on maternity clothes. What I’m worried about now are finding pieces that will work for postpartum and nursing. They have to be comfortable (soft, stretchy fabrics), cute (flattering across the belly) and have easy access to the girls. Like both of these pieces from Modcloth: they’re soooo comfy (even at 7 months pregnant) and aren’t maternity — so they’ll definitely work after the baby comes. But for fun, here’s how I’m wearing them now.

A Feel-Good Jumpsuit

This jumpsuit was softer and stretchier than I thought it would be, and it was very comfortable. The fabric is thicker and more substantial than I expected so it covers flaws (like cellulite) better than most lightweight fabrics. I added some red lips and cute sandals and was good to go.  I felt good in this jumpsuit. (Which is easier said than done at this point in my pregnancy).

My Love Affair with this Printed Dress

Soooooooo soft, you guys. Check out the pictures of the models wearing it to see what it looks like with the waistband actually at the waist (I had to pull it up to accommodate the belly). I agree with reviewers that it runs slightly big. I’m wearing a small but an XS will probably be better once my belly is gone (there’s lots of fabric in the skirt). I loved the way their noir red lipstick looked with the colors of the dress, and the shoes are comfy even for my swollen pregnancy feet!
