I didn’t really want to go to the Pumpkin Patch last Sunday, but it’s October and I’m a fashion blogger so that’s the law.
Obviously, I’m kidding. (Anyone recognize that twist on a Seinfeld joke?) Anyway. My statement is partially true: Pax wanted to go to the pumpkin patch. He’s been begging for weeks, in fact, so I did a little research trying to find a chill pumpkin patch. I didn’t want bouncy houses or long lines for wagons or any of it. I just wanted some outdoor time, a few pumpkins, and apple cider doughnuts. And since I am (roughly) a fashion blogger, I decided to go all extra and wear those fleece coats that are bordering on faux-fur territory. I think that’s the key with these things: don’t over-think it. Wear ’em like a The North Face fleece or something.
sweatshirt: Madewell Turtleneck Sweatshirt (I’m wearing an XXS – I like the shrunken fit)
jeans: AG Skinny Distressed Farrah Jeans (on crazy sale)
boots: Danner hiking boots (My favs – I’ve worn these hiking everywhere, and they still look good enough to function as real – waterproof – boots.) If these are too pricy, Sorel makes a similar pair (just swap out the laces for red ones).
backpack: Makr Farm Rucksack (if you remember when I bought this…gold star. You really are a longtime reader.)
