Best of J.Crew

I’m really excited about what J.Crew has been doing lately. We’re finding that the online selection is much better than in-store, though, and are also noticing that some of our favorites are selling quickly. If there’s one place to start shopping Black Friday early…it’s J.Crew.

ps.  For more Black Friday favorites, as well as Dressing Room Selfies from other retailers, check out our Black Friday Page.

Editor Picks: The Best of J.Crew

Shana’s J.Crew Favorites

1. Sweatshirt, Jeans, and Glitter Boots

Love the pretty color of this Big Sky sweatshirt. Size up for a slouchier fit.

The jeans remind me of my old favs, the J Brand Love Stories, but with a more modern, high-rise. I’m wearing a size 24 Petite, and they’re short enough to wear with sneakers. I can get away with a low heel, but if I wanted to wear with a higher heel, I’d need the regular sizes. Thankfully, they also come in tall.

These glitter boots are my new favs – they’re almost sold out, but come in velvet, leopard, plaid.

We're uber-excited about what J.Crew is up to. The styles are fab with high sellout risk. If there's one place to start holiday shopping now...it's J.Crew.

2. The Cutest Fair Isle Sweater

This cute J.Crew sweater reminds me of the sweater I picked up in Iceland. The fit is perfect, and the bright colors are an unexpected twist. I’ve already worn this one several times (post coming soon).

3. Everyone’s Fav Turtleneck Sweater (And Metallic Puffer)

Scotti picked up this green sweater last year, and I’ve been coveting it ever since. It’s soft, easy to wear, and comes in a ton of gorg colors.

This futuristic-looking puffer is just fun to wear. It’s a legit puffer (read: VERY warm), and I love the metallic upgrade.

4. The Totally Extra Faux-Fur Jacket

I am OBSESSED with this jacket. Yes, it’s a bit extra, and maybe even a challenging silhouette, but that’s what makes it SO GOOD. Also? It’s insanely soft, drapes well and is basically delicious on. BUT: it seems to be excluded from most of the promotions J.Crew has been running. Doesn’t matter: totally worth it.

Scotti’s J.Crew Favorites

The sweaters at J. Crew are always awesome, especially their cashmere and supersoft yarn ones.  BUT.  What I’m really excited about are their jeans.  Specifically the toothpick jean in a CURVY fit and the Point Sur Boyfriend jeans.

1. Curvy Toothpick Jean

These are amazing.  They fit big booties/thighs without any waist gap AND do a great job at flattening the tummy.  Love love love these.  I tried my usual size (28), a size bigger and smaller and went with the size 27.  They’re snug but fit the best.

2. Point Sur High-Rise Boyfriend Jeans

I needed a pair of non-skinny/non-flare jeans and these are perfect.  They’re boyfriend jeans but they aren’t big and shapeless like some I’ve tried.  These actually accentuated my waist and are perfect in my normal size (28).  They were too long, though, so I cut them off.

Cam’s J.Crew Favorites

This long, red cardigan was a big yes for me, so I styled it up with a few other favorites — jumpsuit, pleated floral blouse and some awesome wide-leg trouser jeans. Love all three outfits…especially with a sparkly flat. The holidays are almost upon us!

Laura’s J.Crew Favorites

J.Crew has had some of my very favorite stuff lately, so I put a few pieces on at home. This blazer is my very favorite I’ve ever found, and I’m loving the leopard shirt for layering. This ivory sweater you’ve seen before. It’s the coziest, and Scotti and I are both obsessed. I have it in navy, too.

TWO: Going-Out Blazer – The most adorable blazer ever…so chic and perfectly fitted, yet still comfortable. I like the collar or lack-thereof. Wearing a size 4. Also loving the graphic tee underneath. It’s the perfect faded black and simply says Seize The Day in Italian. Nothing too cheesy, easy to wear. Wearing a Small. These earrings are from J.Crew as well, and they’ve been a fun new addition to my accessories (which I’ll admit I don’t update often).

THREE: V Neck Sweater in Supersoft Yarn – So soft and comfy even without layering. See it more in my post here. Wearing a Small.

Julieta’s favorites

I hadn’t set foot in J.crew this year and wanted to take everything home with me. If you’ve been eyeing that boiled wool coat, get it! I got the red one last year and don’t regret it. And that velvet bodysuit? Need it in all colors. Sorry for the gold/yellow/camel obsession but everything comes in more colors, so check it out.

ONE: Scoop neck velvet bodysuit – TTS. You need to see it in person. I can’t have enough bodysuits. I especially loved this one for the neckline. Gives you a nice cleavage without being too low. Check the other pics where I have it on with jeans and a coat. Comes in pink and navy.

Point Sur Paperbag Pants – Comfy/chic holiday outfit done with these pants. I’m 5’2″ so they are long on me. But I like it like this. The stripes are camel and navy.

TWO: Faux-wrap velvet top – This top has mixed reviews, but I personally loved it. Doesn’t have stretch and is a little hard to get on and off, but once on it felt great. If you have boobs size up.

10″ Highest-rise toothpick jeans – I was very impressed with the fit of these jeans. I felt my tummy controlled.

ONE: Mock neck sweater in supersoft yarn – The name says it all. I felt wrapped in the most delicious blanket. It comes in a ton of colors but this “honey” is really beautiful.

10″ Highest-rise toothpick jeans – I was very impressed with the fit of these jeans. I felt my tummy controlled.

TWO Daphne topcoat in Italian Boiled Wool –  I got the red one last year and I wear it all the time. It’s not lined but I don’t mind, it’s really warm and it layers beautifully over everything. Obsessed with this color. I definitely need the petite size. Runs slightly large. More colors available.

ONE Short-sleeve lace top – Tuck it in!!!! I was attracted to it because of the color but wasn’t sure about how it’d look. Looks beautiful tucked or not, but I prefer tucked in 100 times. Great with a pencil skirt and leather pants too. Check the other colors!

10″ Highest-rise toothpick jeans – I was very impressed with the fit of these jeans. I felt my tummy controlled and they looked great.

TWO – Fuzzy Cardigan Jacket – Size down. I want to live in this until summer comes. Enough said. Comes in navy, ivory and light blue.

Happy shopping!

Tiarra’s J.Crew Favorites

Safe to say I had one eye on the holidays and colder weather during my last round of try-ons at J. Crew, so I’m rounding up my favs! Think coats in faux fur and wool, and holiday outfits in velvet, prints and cashmere. I’m embarrassingly late on holiday family photos, so I’m thinking I’ll go back for one of the velvet looks, after all. They’d also work well for cocktail parties. And well, the cashmere sweater is good for all the things, all season long. Stay warm, cozy, and cute, friends!

  1. It’s like you’re reading my mind! I just got those jeans Shana is wearing at the top and I’m in love. They might be the most comfortable jeans I’ve gotten in a while but I would love to see more tips on how to style them.
