We’ve got you covered with All the Gifts, for All the Guys this season. Stay tuned for plenty more ideas to come. First, let’s start with the most efficient and timely given the big sales — A Capsule Wardrobe Refresh including: unmentionables worth mentioning, casual basics, and some very fancy fancies. (Also, if you haven’t yet, check out our Guide to Black Friday/Cyber Monday, and our sales page for all related articles):
Unmentionables worth Mentioning
1/ Bombas Sock Drawer Reset: Every man I know calls these his favorite socks. And right now, they are site-wide — 20% off! There’s a combo kit of all heights, or you can order sets of whichever sock height your guy prefers most. And then you can ‘borrow’ them. Because they really are that great.
2/ Tommy John Air Trunks: Some underwear is just better than others. Call these the hankies of a man’s core capsule wardrobe. They fit well, feel great, and are seriously good looking. They also double well as yoga pants for you in a pinch. That’s a story for another day.
3/ Tommy John Cool Cotton Crewneck Undershirt: It might be the fast drying pima, or the just enough stretch…the combo of those make this a team favorite!
4/ rag & bone Tomlin Slim Fit Sport Shirt: There’s nothing better than a shirt that’s so soft, both for the man who’s wearing it and those who are cozying up to him! Flip the view to see the back…this shirt is super well-fitted, super-soft, and also has the gentlest of detailing that make it super cool. Great with jeans, and easy enough to dress up with pants and a blazer. Call it your new favorite Friday Funday Shirt.
5/ rag & bone Fit 2 Chinos: rag & bone makes their chinos in a great selection of colors, and also in three fits. Basically Fit 1 is the slimmest, Fit 2 a good middle ground, and Fit 3 has the widest leg. I witnessed my guy try on all three, and the Fit 2 is definitely my favorite — and that of the other six women and a few guys who were also watching this try on sesh as if it were better than the latest sitcom. He has three pairs of them now, all Fit 2, in three different colors. Let’s just call them the chino of the season.
6/ TAG Heuer – Formula 1 Chronograph Quartz 43mm Stainless Steel Watch: While not inexpensive, this watch is a life-time-piece. I’m funny. I know. Seriously though, this timeless classic will last forever, and is a great everyday watch, that can also dive deep, and will stand up to the test of time and ruggedness.
8/ Santoni Doyle Plain Toe Derby Sneaker: Great combo of more dressed-up than a sneaker, but still feels like one underfoot, these are a great, pulled-together casual shoe.
The Fanciest of the Fancies
7/ Ted Baker London ‘Josh’ Trim Fit Navy Shawl Lapel Tuxedo: Some guys like to go there. And when they do, they arrive in full style. This is for that guy. Or for the guy that needs to be that guy on a few nights of the year.
9/ BOSS Myron Sharp Fit Tuxedo Shirt: Super clean-cut, covered placket; smart, stylish look in a modern tuxedo shirt. If you are going to sport that tux, your shirt better be this strong.
10/ Shinola The Canfield Alligator Strap Watch, 43mm: This gorgeous timepiece is all business. It’s far better looking and more polished than a few that have an added zero, or two on their price tags. Well-made, to last, in the USA, and just flat-out classic good looking.
11/ Paul Smith Cufflinks: Just because life should always be mostly fun!
12/ Gucci Leather Derby (Men): Lots of men’s shoes for black tie, are well…uncomfortable, over- or under-styled, and don’t have much support. Think men’s patent leather ballet flats with bows. Don’t get me wrong, that’s a super-fun look…but who is happy in that all night? These on the other hand…well-constructed, super-comfortable, and incredibly stylish.
