Perfect Layers: This Super-Soft Hoodie & Pretty Wrap Top (both under $100)

Bobeau first came on my radar because so many readers raved about this one-button cardigan. Maternity, nursing, postpartum, etc.,…and then my friend C showed up one Friday night rocking the heck out of it and I was pretty much sold. But that was a few years ago. And since I come by fashion blogging honestly — shiny new object??? WHERE? — I kinda just…forgot…how much I loved this brand.

If you recall, Scotti just did a collaboration with Bobeau here on The Mom Edit, so fast-forward to me being all ohhhhhh…riiiiiight…BOBEAU. And now I’ve been living in the stuff. Two pieces, to be exact. I had thrown the hoodie up on Instagram last week, and @mommydocmarsh left this comment:

Mine just arrived in the mail. What is this thing made of?? Puppy dog kisses and clouds? It’s INSANELY soft!

According to the label, it’s mostly clouds, with 2% kisses for stretch.

I’ve been wearing the heck out of this hoodie. And as soft as it is (and @mommydocmarsh ain’t wrong), it’s also thin, drapey, and fits easily under all of my winter jackets. IT ALSO layers beautifully over Bobeau’s impossibly soft wrap top, too. This little power combo basically formed the cornerstone of my travel wardrobe.

I wore it while road-tripping in Michigan….

Current situation: OBSESSED with Bobeau & their super-soft pieces perfect for layering. Find out why your go-to outfit requires this hoodie & this top.

…and all over Marquette, hanging with my sister.

Outfit Details

hoodie: Bobeau Fleece-lined Hoodie (xs) – Obsessed. I think I’ve raved enough about the softness, but I’m also really freaking impressed with how flattering it is. I mean….the bar is low (it’s a HOODIE), but still: Pretty. Darn. Good.

top: Bobeau Faux Wrap Knit Top (xs) – Scotti featured this one too, but in black. For some reason (I blame the weather) I’m really feeling ivory everything. It’s super-soft, low enough to be sexy, but stitched in exactly the right spot so you can bend over without fear.

jeans: AG Farrahs – still some of my favs. I typically take 24s in AG legging jeans, but I’ve been taking 25s in the higher-rise Farrahs.

boots: Sorel Kinetic Boots – I freaking love these things. These have quickly become my go-to boots this winter. They’re snow boots, but basically feel like sneakers with a super-soft lining (I can even wear without socks if I want). Water-resistant, too.

I hope you guys like this stuff as much as I do. (And I just picked up this super-soft tee from Bobeau — I bought the blush, and it looks pretty cute layered over the cream wrap-top, all 90’s style.)

  1. Can tall girls weigh in? Those sleeves look pretty good on you Shana – which means my 5’10 self has no hope. Cam? Anyone?

  2. Marnie Foucault on

Sorel for the win. I have them too and I can’t stop talking about how much I love them. They are so light! I’m used to clomping around Marquette in a heavier winter boot, but because of the sneaker boot I can proudly say I’m no longer a clomper. Highly recommend.

  3. Well….keep in mind that I do have abnormally long arms for my height. Annmarie and I typically can share tops (and she’s 6ft). For what it’s worth. 🙂

  4. Thank you! I might just give it a try. My style resolution – to stay comfortable/less awkward – no naked wrists again!
