5 Cute Curvy Girl Outfits In The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Well well well, it’s that time of year again. Another NSale has seemingly crept up on me.

TBH, this years sale is a bit disappointing for me. The plus size selection doesn’t feel as fresh as in years past, the offerings are limited, and the biggest bummer is that Nordstrom no longer carries plus in store (so online shopping it is). Transparently, my disappointment with plus size shopping isn’t just beholden to Nordstrom, it’s an industry wide issue. Many brands are pulling their plus size offerings from their brick and mortar stores, and quite a few have begun eliminating plus all together.

Even still, I will always keep finding the genuinely cute items that I think are worth it. Because, dammit, plus size women deserve to look and feel cute too!

So, here’s a bit of outfit inspo for you all with pieces that make me excited to get dressed. Let’s get into it!

5 Cute NSale Fall Outfits In Extended Sizing

Two things I will never say no to when it comes to fashion: a trendy pair of wide leg pants (think trousers or oversized denim) and, of course, a cute and easy, (okay, well more like flirty & sexy) dress.

And as luck would have it this years Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has both available in extended sizing.

I have high hopes that these trousers will give that gorgeous drape that I see so frequently featured in straight sized styling, and this dress is so me… it’s sexy, it has a low back, and it makes my heart skip a beat. Oh, and while a girl can dream about Prada bags actually being in the sale (spoiler alert: they aren’t), I can 100% guarantee you that I will be wearing this as a Prada clutch.

Outfit 1: Trench Coats + Trousers

I am of the belief that every cool girl needs a great trench coat in her forever closet, or at least I do. I’ve been a stan of Barbour for years and every year seem to find myself adding yet another one of their jackets to my already extensive collection of coats and jackets. This year I’ve got my eye on this below-the-knee minimalist trench, and if I were in the market for a new raincoat, it would definitely be this.

NOTES: What goes great with trousers? Sexy ribbed tanks, obvi… I personally love little tight tops with oversized pants, and it has become a year round outfit formula for me. While in the past I wouldn’t have opted for a sneaker pairing, I am so in love with these New Balance sneakers and think the minimalist colorway will pair perfectly with everything I own. Grab a cute tote bag and throw on a trench and I am out the door.

Outfit 2: Canadian Tuxedo With A Western Twist

If I am being totally honest, I recently donated my palazzo jeans — but not for lack of loving them! I pulled a Shana and decided to take “hemming” into my own hands and.. let’s just say I hacked them off to be too short. The peddle pusher look is just not for me, so I had to part ways. But now that a cooler version is available, you better believe I will be repurchasing (and this time I won’t be doing any DIY alterations!).

NOTES: I love how everyone and their mother is embracing all things denim. I personally am a big fan of double denim and have been leaning into all things country western as of late. This denim vest fits the bill and the updated detailing on Good American’s palazzo jeans are too good. Add in a pop of red shoe and a cute bag to take the look to the next level.

Outfit 3: Pretty Florals, Anyone?

Okay, I have to admit, I don’t love floral patterns, but something about this modern floral dress really caught my eye. I don’t know if it’s the baby doll length, or the gorgeous coral red, but I have to say I love it. The v-neck detailing, minimal collar and ruffled sleeves all lean into the playful, flirty and feminine vibe that is this dress.

NOTES: It’s no surprise that the dress speaks for itself. All you need is a sensible, yet stylish pair of strappy heels, sunnies, and bag filled with all the necessities and you are good to go. PS — remember that Prada clutch I was talking about earlier?! It’s actually this little Prada clutch gift set. I love the silver and gold detailing, and the iconic triangle shape is everything. Plus, who doesn’t love a good lippie too?! It’s a win-win for me.

Outfit 4: How To Style A T-Shirt Dress

IMO, t-shirt dresses are the perfect hack to leaving your house in what essentially feels like PJs. The key is figuring out how to style them, so that you leave feeling fresh and put together, rather than looking like you just rolled out of bed. My go-to formula has always been a denim jacket, sneaks and a hella cute earring stack.

NOTES: Last year, this exact t-shirt dress was one of the things I tried on in the NSale, and I can attest that it’s really, really good. I mean, Eileen Fisher can do no wrong, and the drape, fit and feel of the fabric are absolute perfection. PS — I am kinda kicking myself because when I went to Nordstrom a few days ago, I actually bought the Hermes twilly perfume. It’s such a stunning scent and is a more sophisticated sweet floral.

Outfit 5: You Had Me At Malbec

If you didn’t know, I am a Malbec wine loving babe, Argentinian Malbecs to be exact. I love the full bodied and sensual taste that is a Malbec, and this body con dress gives just as much drama as the oh-so-delicious wine. The dress has a deep U-back and is exactly what I’d wear for a sexy, low lit dinner, with my pretend boyfriend 😉 #stillsingle

Date night outfit: knit midi dress and a leather blazer

NOTES: Three things I need to share… 1/ This scarf feels elegant, pretty and thin enough to throw in your bag. 2/ All you need to know is that this sleek leather blazer gives me edgy vibes, and I am here for it. 3/ I am a girlie that now requires orthotic shoes but doesn’t want to feel like a grandma when I am wearing them, and these orthotic heels are freaking sexy and comfortable!

I hope these outfits have you feeling inspired and excited for the sale!
