6 Cute Looks Under $100: Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, 2024

While this year’s NSale has some of the usual, pricier suspects (Vince cashmere sweater, Reiss wool coat, Isabel Marant sweatshirt as examples) I was really struck by how many truly exciting, budget-friendly pieces are in this year’s sale. In fact, in my current Top 15 list (you can see all TME editors’, here, under ‘Shop By Editor’), six of my top picks are under $100. While this list will change over time as we learn more…almost half is pretty impressive.

In fact, once the sale opens, I’m going directly for Topshop’s Faux-Leather Bomber jacket, this denim bag, and these chic sweatpants (with matching hoodie).

6 Cute Fall Outfits In The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, Under $100

Since the under $100 section felt so exciting this year, I started doing my paper dolls thing, and created 6 cute outfits. The rules of this game were simple: each piece in the outfit had to be under $100, and these outfits had to be something I’d be genuinely excited to wear.

The majority of featured pieces below are under $75, and the base outfit (shirt, pants, shoes) is under $250. While there are a few pieces that hit that $99 mark, it felt a little like cheating, so I only included them if they’re especially fabulous.

Outfit 1: Don’t Overlook White + Leopard

While I’m definitely drawn to the cuffed jeans, this outfit is really about the white bag + leopard shoes. There’s something that feels especially fresh about pairing a white bag with leopard shoes, instead of the usual black.

NOTES: We’ve all fallen in love with Wit+Wisdom jeans for their surprisingly trendy styles and really comfortable fabrics. These jeans are too short on the model (click through to see) – I really want this cuff to almost brush the floor. Also, this Zella jacket is fantastic. I’m 90% sure it’s the same jacket I bought last year, but it sold out so quickly that I barely had time to recommend it. Looks MUCH better irl than on the model.

Outfit 2: Going Out

I’m such a jeans girl that most of my going-out outfits often look like this: jeans & an easy top…all dressed up with fun accessories. An oversized bomber helps bridge between the fancy gold heels and easy jeans.

NOTES: Topshop had a corduroy version of this oversized bomber in the sale last year, and it’s become one of my favorite jackets. It’s incredibly useful – even looks amazing over dresses, I promise – and I have the highest of hopes for this faux-leather one. These Madewell jeans are a team fav, and I’m thrilled to see them in the sale in this perfectly-broken-in wash.

Outfit 3: Pretty Pastels

This is the kind of unexpected colorway I love to pull out in fall/winter – and yes: white bags are for winter, too. Lastly, taupe footwear – whether boots or sneakers – never gets enough credit for how completely versatile it really is.

NOTES: Adidas Gazelles are the comfier, squishier version of Sambas – I absolutely love mine. And this earthy, taupe-y brown looks perfect for fall, but would also work, like, now, with little black sundresses or white eyelet tops & cut-offs.

Outfit 4: Yup, Those Are UGGs

Uggs, cozy sweaters & cute jeans will forever be my vibe. I apologize for nothing.

NOTES: I own those exact UGGs in a lighter color and LOVE them. I wear them barefoot most of the time, but was wearing them with those cotton rag socks from Bombas I love on the Oregon Coast last week (it was cold!!). Anyway, I can’t recommend these shoes enough – they’re definitely one of those $99 pieces worth including. Also, can we agree that these jeans are really, really sexy? I don’t know why GA insists on calling them “boyfriend jeans” but they’ve got a really nice, high rise and shows off some curves.

Outfit 5: Ok, This Is Basically What I Wear Everyday

Oversized black sweater, straight-leg jeans, and cozy-cute shoes? Yup. It me.

NOTES: Obviously, this outfit would work great with those UGGs, but I’m really intrigued by these cool, crochet clogs. High hopes. And I keep coming back to this Zella backpack, too. I’m kind of a sucker for those roll-top backpacks, because I can stuff them SO full.

Outfit 6: Sweatpants 4Eva

The only thing I like more than a great pair of sweatpants is a matching sweatpant-and-hoodie combo. And my favorite trick to elevate this look is to add a tan or camel bag. It just reads a little more luxe.

NOTES: I already own these exact Adidas Gazelle Bolds (basically, a platform version of regular Gazelles) and they’re REALLY comfortable. Much squishier underfoot than most fashion sneakers. I also own those little Jenny Bird earrings, too. They’re great – juuust big enough to add a little flash & polish.
