Six Outfits I Left the House in Last Week

Fall has always been my favorite season of the year to dress for – the sweaters, the coats, the boots, the jeans…you get the idea. While summer is just all cut-off denim shorts and winter is basically snow-gear all season long, fall is the perfect time to take full advantage of your closet and to truly let your wardrobe to shine.

This year, I am feeling especially happy with the direction my fall and winter wardrobe is headed: super-slouch cargos, barrel jeans, ballet-flats, oversized knitwear and beyond. Yes, please. I’ve been feeling more inspired than ever to play around and experiment with my style and I am loving how things are coming together.

Everyday Fall Outfits: 6 Ideas

From date night to football Sunday to a rainy day at the corn maze, I’ve been full-on inspired to get dressed and get out of the house this fall. I’ve been especially loving Free People, BLANK NYC, Levi’s, Bernardo and more – so keep scrolling to see 6 looks I wore out of the house last week…

Sunday: All in on the Oversized Trend for Football Sunday

I’m all in on everything oversized right now because it’s just so darn comfy, especially when I’m spending the afternoon lounging on the couch cheering on the Detroit Lions (who were actually doing good this year, until last week). These Can’t Compare Slouch Pants from Free People were my absolute favorite purchase from my recent Free People try-on. I can’t explain just how comfortable they are. I am also obsessed with my latest Free People sweater addition to my closet. The blue shade is really lovely in person.

Monday: Running All the Errands in FP Barrel Jeans and Stripes

I’m not going to lie, this has pretty much been my go-to look as of late. When I’m unsure of what to wear, I keep coming back to my striped sweater and my barrel jeans. Separately, they are two of my most-worn items in my closet right now. and worn together, they make a pretty perfect fall combo.

Tuesday: Salon Appointment in Chunky Knitwear

This English Factory chunky cap-sleeve knit sweater was one of my most worn pieces last winter. When it gets cold, I like to layer a white turtleneck or long-sleeve tee under it. I am so glad it was restocked this year and in two new colors: black and brown. It’s under $100 and the quality is amazing. It has so much wardrobe potential!

Wednesday: Mid-Week Dinner Date in a Suede Midi Skirt

I knew I needed this BLANKNYC suede midi skirt in my life the moment I laid eyes on it. It makes me feel super-chic every time I wear it and for real suede leather, it’s priced pretty affordably. This skirt has so much styling potential, especially for the Holiday season. I have a feeling you will be seeing more of me in this skirt this year! Also, my Chinese Laundry knee-high boots are currently over 40% off and still well stocked in sizes! I ended up leaving the house in the sheer turtleneck look (because….date night) but when it gets cooler out, I’ll for sure be wearing my Free People Easy St Cropped Sweater with this skirt.

Thursday: Downtown Drinks in Barrel Jeans, A Cropped Blazer & Ballet Flats

I saw this cropped blazer from Free People at Nordstrom and fell in love immediately. Then, I remembered I had a cute cropped blazer already in my closet from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, two years ago! I love it when I can ‘shop’ my own closet and find a piece that I totally forgot about. Plus, a cropped blazer is an easy way to add some class and sophistication to a basic look like jeans and a white tee. You can see a few similar cropped blazer options I love below.

Friday: Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch on a Very Rainy Day

This whole outfit is giving major ‘Midwestern girl vibes’ which is fitting because we went to a corn maze while it was pouring rain. My new Bernardo coat is a welcomed addition to my winter wardrobe, it’s water-resistant and super soft and cozy. It’s also over 40% off right now at Nordstrom, making just under $100!

  1. Agreed, thanks, Jess! I’d love to see this with winter boots. I’m all in for fresh style silhouettes, but I can’t wrap my head around clunky winter boots/functionality.
