Best Of J.Crew (Laura’s Picks)

J.Crew has great outfit pieces for the holidays, y’all. Every year I remember this, and every year my somewhat preppy side comes out and I LOVE IT. Right now, I want to wear all the cute festive stuff (that is still tasteful — J.Crew does that really well), and I want ALL the velvet and gorgeous sweaters.

1. The Cutest (& Softest!) Sweater Ever

This little gem was so fun. And it’s insanely soft. I love the deep red color of the hearts and it’s so good layered over the button up. It is a little thin for layering like that, but I wasn’t really bothered by it. It’s a super-soft cashmere and would be a lovely gift for someone who likes prints like I do. This is a medium because that’s all they had in store, but I’d wear a small as this was too big, so it fits TTS.

2. A Pretty Ivory Sweater That’s Ready To Party

This little sweater has gorgeous blingy buttons on the shoulders. It’s also super soft and comes in a gorgeous array of shades. It fits true to size and was honestly hard to leave behind. I’d like to try it in the emerald green, too.

3. Insanely Soft Velvet Pants

These amazing pants! The plaid is subtle, friends. It’s so good. And these pants below do come in black, green, deep red and navy solid colors, too. They’re so soft and drapey, yet substantial and flattering. They do fit pretty straight (not a curvy fit), but I sized up to a 6 and they’re good. I brought them home. I’ll wear them during the holidays or over the winter for years. I’m thinking pair with a pretty oatmeal sweater and loafers, or this polka dot turtleneck below OR a crisp white button up and moto jacket…I want to try all the combos. I’ll update this post if I ever see the plaid! Check in-store though or check out the solids.

4. This Gorgeous Emerald Green Velvet Cami

This was almost my top for last holiday season, but I skipped it. I love that they brought it back and I’m liking it layered over the tee! It runs a little bit small, so size up if you have a chest (I had on a super comfy, non-padded bra here, but would need a medium with my regular bras).

5. A Beautiful Gray Sweater

I’ve been eyeing this online in green for a while. They didn’t have that in-store, so I tried the pale gray and really adored this. I think it runs a tiny bit big, so I tried an xs here.

6. This Gorgeous Camel Polka Dot Cashmere Turtleneck

SO cozy soft…and I love the pop of a print it adds without being too much. I brought this one home! TTS and just lovely. There’s a crewneck sequin version linked below!

Cheerful Fair Isle Mock Neck Sweater (s) // Fun, cheerful even? Maybe a little busy on me, but festive! Not as soft as the other sweaters though. I do like it in red and navy, maybe better than this? Not sure.

Embellished Perfect Shirt Slim Fit (6) // Cute and fun with the sparkles. Fit pretty well, but a bit of gaping at the boobs, which I always have trouble with. Would like to try the non-slim fit, which I think this links to? It’s hard to tell online.

9″ High Rise Toothpick Jeans In Charcoal Wash (28)// These are so good! I typically have to go up a size in Jcrew jeans and these fit well. I’m not sure how they stretch or if they stretch out, but I know Cam has loved these in the past. I would like to try the curvy fit to see how they differ since I have a booty. These are such good jeans though that I’d totally recommend! Offered in waist sizes 23-27 in both fits, and also Petite, Tall and Classic lengths in the non-curvy fit.
