I kind of fell in love with Abercrombie’s Curve Love line when I compared their curve love mom jeans to the regular mom jeans fit back in February (it seems like FOREVER ago). So when I saw they came out with Curve Love fits for their denim shorts, I was excited to try them.
I’ve loved Abercrombie denim for YEARS–they’ve mastered that vintage-y, lived-in look for a whole lot less than other premium denim brands.
Abercrombie Curve Love Skinny Jeans & Mom Shorts (+ More Fave Finds)
The selection of Curve Love shorts can be overwhelming when you first look at their site, but there are basically four different fits to choose from: mid rise boyfriend shorts, high rise mom shorts, high rise 4″ mom shorts and ultra high rise mom shorts. The 4″ mom shorts are the longest, the boyfriend shorts are 3.5″ in length, and the high-rise and ultra-high rise mom shorts are both 2.5″ in length.
Abercrombie Curve Love Mid Rise Boyfriend Shorts
These were my favorite fit of the bunch. They’re not too long, not too short and had that boyfriend-y feel, but were cut for a curvier body–meaning they had more room through the hips and thighs, but the waistband didn’t gap at all. These fit true to size–I also tried sizing up to a 29 and 30 to see if I’d like a slouchier fit, but they didn’t look right since the waist was still smaller per the Curve Love fit. Go with your regular size for these. (See all the washes here.)

Abercrombie Curve Love High Rise Mom Shorts
These were my second favorites. They’re definitely shorter, but I liked the overall fit that really shows off your waist. There was enough room for my booty, which is often a problem I have with shorts–they fit so tight across my hips if they fit my waist–but these fit like a glove everywhere. I tried the 29 and 30, in these and I liked the 29, but the 30 was too big. I’d size up ONE size if you want a bit more room or go with your regular size if you want them to fit like a glove. Check out more washes here. (And if these are too short for you, the 4″ ones below are the exact same fit with a longer leg.)

Abercrombie Curve Love High Rise 4″ Mom Shorts
These are the same high-rise, no-gap waistband with extra room in the booty and thighs but a bit longer for more coverage. I liked the small slit in the sides because it allows for more room and movement in the legs. I didn’t try any bigger sizes because I felt like they ran tts. (They’re available in a ton of washes.)

Abercrombie Curve Love Ultra High Rise Mom Shorts
So per the name, these are really high. And although they’re still the same 2.5″ length, I feel like the higher rise made them even shorter. My husband loved these but I felt a little self-conscious in them. I tried the 29 and 30 in these as well and the waist didn’t change a whole lot with the bigger sizes, but room in the hips and thighs did. I would go up ONE size in these. (More washes here.)

Abercrombie Curve Love High Rise Skinny Jeans
Ooh I love these! I tried their Curve Love Mom Jeans earlier, and wanted to check out how their skinny jeans for curvy bodies fit. LOVE. These weren’t crazy high, but still showed off my waist while fitting my booty. I liked these a bit better than their super skinny fit (below) because the bottom was a bit straighter down from the knee. (And I’m obsessed with this wash!)

Abercrombie Curve Love High Rise Super Skinny Jeans
These are pretty much the same fit up top, but much skinnier in the leg. They also come in a ton of washes but this particular one (light ripped wash) is particularly soft and comfy.

This Comfy Knit Midi Dress & Drapey Moto Jacket
This dress is CRAZY comfortable. I tried both the small and medium, and liked the medium just a tiny bit more, but both would have worked. I love the fit–the fabric is super-soft and stretchy–and the cute straps and side slit. I’ll be wearing it a ton of ways (I’ve got a slight obsession with comfy LBDs lately) this summer, most often with a moto jacket like this or a slouchy denim one.

These Leopard Print Linen-Blend Tassel Shorts
These are not part of the Curve Love line, but I had to throw them in. People said they ran large, which was perfect for me and my booty . . . my regular size medium fit. They also come in solid colors, but you know I love my leopard print!

This One-Piece Suit On Sale For Under $20
OK, so this suit is pretty amazing, especially for that crazy price. The tie around the waist (which comes off completely, btw) makes it flattering for curvy bodies. The medium had a bit more side boob than I’d probably normally wear but overall it fit pretty well. The large had more coverage up top, but not a ton of support and both sizes were pretty cheeky. It might not be the suit you’d wear to the family pool, but it’s a great one to grab for vacation with your hubby.

I think I like the 4″ Mom shorts the best. Appreciate a review of a “curvy” line!
