Born in rural, religious Pennsylvania, she left home at sixteen for southern Virginia, and earned a B.S. in Government at the age of nineteen. It was while living in West Baltimore, pregnant with her first child, that she began writing seriously, and eventually had her two YA novels published: DONE DIRT CHEAP (2017) & VALLEY GIRLS (2018).

Currently, Lemon works as a Sr. Brand & Content Manager and lives with her growing family in North Carolina. She loves music, being outside, and traveling. She continues to write fiction about unlikeable women, essays about healing, and rants about harm reduction, ethics over morality, safe sex work, fair wages, the value of labor, and prison abolition. She is represented by Patrice Caldwell at New Leaf Literary Agency.
