Adidas Makes Jeans: Do We Like Them?

Fall always feels like a bit of a reset for me – new sneakers, cozy layers, and maybe one or two pieces that shake up my usual outfit formula. I’ve been a longtime fan of adidas Superstars (the iconic throwback sneaker that somehow works with everything), but this season I was most curious about something totally new: jeans. Yep, adidas makes jeans now. Obviously, I had to try them.

How I’m Wearing adidas Jeans This Fall

Wow. I’ll be honest when I say that I held my breath ordering these adidas jeans. They looked extremely cool online, but since I had never tried them before, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But the verdict is in: I absolutely LOVE them.

The adidas Originals Athletic Dept Denim Firebird Pants are a stroke of genius on adidas’ part. They perfectly mix comfort with style and are just so unique from any other pants I have in my closet (and I have A LOT).

The sides are track pants (comfortable, easy) and the rest is a soft denim. The combo is really cool, and they’re perfect for days when I want to look put-together without sacrificing comfort.

Fit Notes: I found that these jeans run a tad large. I am between a small and a medium and am happy with the small size. These jeans also come in a gorgeous light blue denim wash with dark green nylon striped side paneling. They fit high-waisted with trouser-like front seams. They are 100% cotton and feature an elastic waist.

BTW, this updated colorway of the Superstar II (in Preloved Brown / Cream White / Alumina ) is a softer, richer take on the original. It looks really luxe.

I like to think of these adidas Superstars as the anchor to my transitional season wardrobe: neutral, versatile, and unmistakably cool.

Fit Notes: I found that these run large, I would order 1/2 size down. They feature a smooth premium leather upper and their signature rubber shell toe. They have a rubber outsole and a textile lining.

This quilted crossbody in Chalky Brown is lightweight and roomy enough for all of my daily essentials (seriously, so lightweight).

The neutral taupey-brown goes with both black and deeper, chocolate browns, making this a pretty versatile piece.

Fit Notes: This bag also comes in a pretty ‘powdered teal’. It features an adjustable strap that measures up to 55″, a secure top-flap with magnetized button, and a roomy zippered main compartment.
