I’m all about a very specific kind of summer dressing – the easy, often random grouping of things that tend to get worn 4x a week & washed as quickly as possible to wear again. Which explains my love for adidas shorts. Adidas shorts – whether Sprinter or Pacer or 3 Stripes – are sporty, a little nostalgic, wildly comfortable & breathable, and somehow manage to make everything else you throw on feel cooler by association. I’ve been pairing this Madewell eyelet tank with everything lately – and knew I was going to wear it with sportier shorts the second I pulled these out of the box. It makes them look quite intentional, yeah? Love the juxtaposition of girly/sporty vibes.

This one doesn’t really need to be explained, I just wanted to show that it’s obviously a workout piece, too. These shorts feel like AIR on – extremely lightweight, just secure enough & the perfect length (I’m 5’6″).

Shana styled up a jersey like this one (if not the exact same one) and I loooooved how it looked. This outfit is sporty on sporty but I loved making it a bit more me with jelly shoes + a fun necklace. I’d also wear the top with these linen pants & these denim shorts.

Workout fit! OMG how adorable is this bright pink layer? It’s so vintagey and happiness-inducing I couldn’t get over it. So great for a workout outdoors. These shorts are slightly shorter than the ones above with a thicker waistband. They’re so effing comfy (felt like wearing nothing).

Oh, these shorts feel like butter on. They may be the softest pair I’ve ever put on my body?? I love the higher rise and that they aren’t too short. Also this cantaloupe-y color is so dreamy. I grabbed this tee in the same exact soft fabric and it’s just as luxe (size down).

For sweatin’. See how this higher rise is nice for cropped tops & bras? I’d be happy wearing these all day long.

How cuuuute? These little crochet shorts were too fun to pass up. They’re very short (cover my butt and my butt only) but so fun for casual summer looks. I sized up in the brown color just to compare (I took my usual size in the pink, below).

As someone who prefers longer shorts for day-to-day, this is how I’ll actually wear them – over a bikini. Honestly LOVED this look.

Probably, eventually…adidas does tend to bring them back in waves, so keep checking this link: adidas Sprinter shorts to see if you get lucky. (You can also try the guys’ adidas Sprinter shorts…but those sell pretty quick, too.) Your best bet is to set a restock alert, but until then? I’m pretty happy with any (all?) of the shorts above.
