New year…not new me. I already love the me from 2024. But new workout gear and trying a few new workouts? YES, please.
I am not a New Year’s resolutions kind of person, but I AM a try-something-new kinda person, and for this year it’s gonna be getting (actually) into jump roping. I bought a speed rope years ago and used it a fair amount, but now I have a back patio that is gonna be game-changing for this venture. Stoked.
Moreover, it’ll be such a great compliment to my barre classes to add some impact (soooo good for bone density as we age) and honestly? It’s so fun! And thanks to adidas sending over these new pieces (I’m especially excited about the training sneakers) I’m all set. No excuses.

What I’m Wearing For My New Year Workouts, Hint: adidas
I’m a forever adidas fan…the vibe of their pieces is just right up my alley. They make some of my favorite sweats, sports bras, beanies, and of course most-worn sneakers. It was fun to try out some new pieces, too.

The Leggings: The adidas Optime leggings’ fabric is so great…it’s light but has incredible 4-way stretch and they hold up to squats, stretching, etc. so well. They feel so good on. I might suggest sizing up if you’re between sizes.
Jacket (M) | Sports Bra (M/C-D)
The Sports Bra: The adidas TLRD Impact Training High Support sports bra is incredible. This gal needs some support when, ahem, jump roping as you can imagine and this made me feel so secure. I’m a 34DD and this size fit perfectly. The straps can adjust to crossback or traditional bra style and there are lots of adjustment hooks to make the band fit perfectly to you.
Jacket (M) | Sports Bra (M/C-D)
These are inside shoes that you want to save for the gym or studio, or at least dry days, because they have a cool (literally) vent in the bottom to keep your feet from getting too hot. So rad. I so needed a pair like this and I can’t wait to put them on again. LOVE. TTS.
Leggings (M) | Training Sneakers
The Training Sneakers: Ok I’m in love with these babies. The Dropset 3 Strength Training shoes are not only great for weight lifting and gym time, but activities like jump roping and shuffling (which I so want to try) because you don’t want heavy treads getting in the way of your foot movements.

The Jacket: This comfy but technical hoodie, the adidas Designed 4 Training Full-zip, is made from a similar (just slightly thicker) stretch fabric like the leggings. And y’all…yep, thumbholes. It’s one of those soft things you just want to throw on all the time, perfect over workout wear. I think it’d be nice to layer up for running, too.
