Oof, guys. I’m not gonna lie: when I sat down to peruse the web’s best post-holiday sales, the last thing I wanted to do was online shop. I shopped till my fingertips were just about raw in the weeks leading up to Christmas, and I was just…done. Petered the frick out. But then I started opening browser tab after browser tab, and I kinda got into it. In fact, there’s a lot that I’m excited about — and plenty of finds that I’m adding to my own cart(s) as we speak.
On my short list: plenty of home decor finds that will dress things up once the holiday bling gets packed away until next year. (It’s both depressingly and refreshingly stark once we’re back to our more neutral color palate post-holiday, but these pillows and this rug would help soften the blow) and a few timeless but playful pieces for my own wardrobe — hello POP cashmere sweater! — that will complement much of what I already own, because ya’ll know I truly don’t need another thing. And because there’s a half-marathon in my future, some motivating new pieces for moving. dat. body. It’s about time.

1 // Vintage Printed Pillow Covers — These add so much character to any space (they look great in literally every room in our house, regardless of the color scheme), and Pottery Barn pillow covers are some of my favorite when it comes to heirloom-feeling textile patterns with lasting quality.
2 // Madewell Drapey Striped Blouse — An easy blouse for work or play, night or day.
3 // J.Crew POP Cashmere Sweater — Playful and fun. And cashmere! All for under $50.
4 // Lacquered Jewelry Box — I always covet west elm and Pottery Barn jewelry organizers. This one is clean and simple and would keep my perpetually cluttered dresser a bit more tidy in the New Year.
5 // Alexander McQueen Sunglasses — Click through for the detail on these classic oversized frames: they’re black on the front with tortoiseshell sides — because I can never decide.
6 // Madewell Essential Overnight Bag — A classic leather weekender. Because for almost 20 years I’ve been trying to live out one of those early 00s Michael Kors jetsetter ads. (You know the ones…)
7 // Triptych Wall Art — The Roar + Rabbit collection at west elm never disappoints. I have loved this series for a while now, and at 20% off it’s more tempting than ever.
8 // Patterned Stoneware Low Bowls — You know I can’t resist a bowl that photographs just as well from the top as the side, and low bowls are our most-used pieces of serveware (perfect for these Garlicky Beans and this Sesame Balsamic Tofu supper).
9 // Athleta Lofty Down Coat — The little removable faux-vest insert is interesting here (and functionally adds another layer of warmth) while the heft and slight shimmer keep things modern.
10 // Apotheke “Charcoal” Diffuser — I smelled this in-store and nearly bought it on the spot. (We were running spectacularly late for Frozen II and the checkout line was impossibly long.) It’s perfectly woodsy and masculine without being overly musky or perfumed. The Palo Santo version is spectacular, too.
11 // Puff-Sleeve Crewneck Sweatshirt — I tried on a similar sweatshirt at my favorite local boutique, Crow’s Nest (if you’re ever in Half Moon Bay, it’s a must!) and didn’t want to part with it. The cement hue and puffy sleeves elevate what’s an otherwise simple closet staple. Perfect for lounging pre- or post- resolution workouts.
12 // Pottery Barn Leather Armchair — These are the perfect scale for our living room, and I’m jonesing for a pair, like, real bad. Been eyeing them for a while and the price right now is great.
13 // Athleta Ultra High Rise Shimmer Tight — Made the mistake of signing up for a half marathon in the New Year, and if it takes shimmery tights to get me moving in the morning, I’m all for ’em.
14 // Madewell Leopard Print Heeled Sandals — One day I’ll be the socks-with-heels type, for which I envision these being perfect. In the meantime, these will get so much wear with jeans and tees come spring.
15 // Faux Leather Mini Skirt — I have a midi faux leather skirt that’s been getting lots of wear, but sometimes the midi length feels even a little too formal. Would love pulling out this mini with Vans for more casual wear.
16 // Plaid Sherpa-Backed Throw — Still loving a little plaid vibe even post-holidays, and the specific tartan on this throw is so good — classic and wintry but not overly Christmassy. Would be the perfect accent over an ottoman or bench, but the sherpa is so cozy for cuddling up with on movie night, too.
