You know when a piece of clothing just grabs your attention and you absolutely can’t get it out of your mind? That’s exactly what happened to me with this alice + olivia blazer. The color, the fit (ooh, the way the model is wearing it in that monochromatic look), I love everything about it.
So I ordered it just to try…
And it is absolutely everything I hoped it would be. It’s honestly, the most beautiful blazer – ever.

Why I’m In Love With This Alice + Olivia Blazer
The fit – slightly oversized but with a shape that doesn’t hide curves – is on point, the fabric is absolutely luxurious, and the color is to die for.
What’s not to die for?
The price. I’ve only ever spent this much money on one other blazer…buuuut, I wear it all the time. And although I hesitated to buy it because of that price point, it’s now become one of my most-worn pieces in my closet. There’s just something to be said for clothing that’s made really, really well.
Which brings me back to this gorgeous alice + olivia blazer I absolutely couldn’t resist. The quality is amazing – I could tell that from the moment I took it out of the box. The fabric is luxurious; thick with a hint of stretch, has a silk-like luster that’s not too shiny, and the color…just beautiful.

It’s made from triacetate (a fabric that’s more sustainable than most fully synthetic fibers, since it’s made from combining wood pulp from trees with acetic acid) which is soft, wrinkle-resistant, and has a great drape. So while it’s a synthetic fabric, it’s more comfortable and more eco-friendly than many other synthetics.
I mean, there were slight wrinkles on the blazers when I first took them out of the box (I tried multiple sizes) but they fell out once I hung them up. (Which would make this one perfect for packing.)
It does run slightly big. I’m usually 4 in blazers, sized down to 2 for this one, and was happy that it wasn’t too tight across the hips and booty.

I chose this necklace set specifically to wear with this blazer, and will now be wearing it with all of my deep-v tops – the shape is so good, especially with a plunging neckline. It consists of three separate 18K gold-plated necklaces (with semi-precious opal and cubic zirconia) that can be worn together or individually – and I personally love the delicate layered look of them all together.
I was originally going to try to wear the blazer and necklaces without anything underneath, but the neckline was a liiittle deeper than I expected. So I reached for my go-to Hanro cami (probably my most-worn piece year-round). It makes layering easy, smooths the girls and the belly, and gives support without covering up too much – so I could still get that deep-v effect without having to worry about accidental flashing. (Of course, a bodysuit or silky tank would also work, depending on the desired look.)

I love the matching pants the model is wearing with this blazer, but these Free People pants felt so unique. I love how the hemline shows off shoes!
My pants are made from a coated-cotton blend with a hint of stretch…and I love that sheen. They have a pull-on waist that doesn’t create extra bulk around the middle (no zippers or button-fly) and are high enough to cover bums without creating muffin top. They’re called “high-rise,” but I found them to fit more like a mid-rise at 10 inches.

PS, these shoes? Easy to walk in because of the block heel, and I love the simple minimalist design goes with absolutely everything. (Under $100, too!) These pants perfectly show off the ankle strap, but statement booties or classic black boots would also look great.
And A Bag That Brings Joy
I bought this bag a couple of years ago after lusting after it for years…and I still get joy every time I wear it. It goes with basically everything in my closet and I love the sleek black-on-black detail. The chain can be detached to wear as a clutch, and there’s places for all the cards and loose change to keep everything organized. There’s enough room for my phone and a pair of readers, which I now have to bring with me every time I leave the house. (Hello, 40s.)

If you’re looking for a luxurious splurge-worthy gift for the holidays…this is it.
XOXO,
Scotti
