A Little Morning Vlog Ft. My Skincare Routine

Most mornings start very similarly for me… I wake up, let the pups out and immediately make a caffeinated beverage. This morning, I’m opting to make an iced cold-brew latte with nutpods’ cookie-butter creamer, which is such a great alternative if you want a festive fall drink that isn’t pumpkin flavored.

I then do my daily morning skincare routine, followed by emails and several creative projects. But, today, I’m on the hunt for a Christmas gift for my mom!

My Daily Skincare Routine + Some Holiday Shopping At Target: A Morning Vlog

I knew immediately that I wanted to hop over to Target to pick up a few sweaters from the La Ligne collaboration. These are such a steal — they normally run for $120+, and the collaboration sweaters are all under $50!

I absolutely love my morning skincare routine, and if you’re curious to know what clean makeup products I use, watch the entire vlog!

My Morning Skincare Routine

I’m much more of a skincare girlie than I am a makeup girlie. I personally find that when I’m disciplined with a great skincare routine, I need much less makeup because my skin has a great glow just from the products that I use. All of these skincare products are high-quality, clean products that have worked wonders for my normal to dry skin.

Step 1: Essence – Tata Harper Floral Essence: I typically don’t wash my face in the morning — I usually just rinse with water and finish off with my favorite essence from Tata Harper. This essence has such a pretty floral scent and hydrates my skin.

Step Two: Hyaluronic Serum – Glow Recipe Plum Plump Hyaluronic Acid Serum: Hyaluronic acid helps to rehydrate skin and can reduce the appearance of wrinkles. This serum gives instant hydration to my skin.

Step 3: Vitamin C – Youth to the People Vitamin C Energy Serum: Vitamin C brightens and revives dull-looking skin, and I recommend using it in the morning. YTTP’s vitamin C serum also has caffeine in it, which wakes up and plumps your skin.

Step 4: My Holy Grail – Tata Harper Resurfacing AHA + BHA Serum: This is my holy-grail face serum, and I love it so much that I have convinced most of our TME team to give it a try too. Shana, Laura and I are big fans of this gorgeous serum for the mornings.

Step 5: Sunscreen – Drunk Elephant Umbra Sheer Sunscreen: I’m a firm believer in wearing sunscreen every single day. Not only does it help to prevent skin cancer, it also aids in slowing the aging process of your skin. Right now I’m testing out Drunk Elephant’s Umbra Sheer sunscreen, which is a physical barrier sunscreen rather than a chemical sunscreen. This type of sunscreen is often very challenging for melanated skin because it can leave a white cast on your skin. However, Drunk Elephant’s melts right into my skin and leaves no white cast at all!
