As someone who loves to try new things all the time, especially skincare and beauty products, I tend to come back to those that perform the best…and for my skin, that’s Biossance.
Even though this is my first time working with this brand with TME, I’ve used Biossance skincare for years. And you’ve heard many of my other teammates here rave about these products time and again. It’s because they’re legit, friends.
And while I have a couple of skincare items I do like from other brands, 80% of what I use on my face at any given time is Biossance. The magic of the squalane in its products is noticeable — and my 44-year-old skin responds beautifully when I’m in a regular routine with the serums, rose oil and moisturizers.
4 Biossance Skincare Products I’m Loving Right Now (+ 2 Easy Beauty Hacks)
Did anyone catch Shana’s recent live with Biossance? I tuned in and learned a lot.
The key takeaways? The new Squalane + Retinol Night Serum is a must-get because retinol works, and this one seems to be way less drying. I learned to alternate retinol with hydration the next night (like the Omega Repair Cream with rose oil on top), then the Squalane + Lactic Acid Resurfacing Night Serum I adore for skin smoothing on the third night. You can use the plant-derived Squalane + Phyto-Retinol Serum in the morning and/or solely that product if nursing or pregnant. Such helpful info!
Let’s get into the other products I’m loving right now, along with those beauty hacks I promised.
Ooh, but first, Biossance is having its biggest free gift with purchase of the year! Get an 10-piece Mega Bag valued at $170 with purchases of $75+. It includes quite a few of my faves here plus a few other products in a cute bag complete with a mirror. LOVE.
1. Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream: The Award Winner
This Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream won the 2020 Allure Best of Beauty Awards and the 2021 Glamour Beauty Awards “Best Eye Cream” — and after using it regularly, I see why. I’m one of those peeps who forgets eye cream…I KNOW. Sorry, Mimi (she had THE softest skin in the world because she never forgot to slather on all the creams, oils and moisturizers.)
This stuff is legit game-changing for my eye area after just a couple of weeks of use. It doesn’t sit on your skin without soaking in, but it doesn’t soak in too immediately, either, like so many other products (making you feel like they probably aren’t working). That must be the magic of squalane! I notice that with all Biossance products.
If you’re going to choose just one more to get besides the popular rose oil, let it be this.
2. Squalane + Copper Peptide Rapid Plumping Serum: Morning Hydration
This is another new-to-me product, and after just a few weeks, I’m already falling in love. The Squalane + Copper Peptide Rapid Plumping Serum is a mouthful to say but a joy to use. It’s a really great morning serum to use under my Probiotic Gel Moisturizer.
It definitely plumps up my skin (especially as we’ve gotten into the season where our heaters are blasting more and skin feels more sallow and dried out). I’m thankful for these morning skincare products I can use to head out for the day with glowing, hydrated skin that still receives makeup well. Love!
3. Squalane + Probiotic Gel Moisturizer: A Lightweight Base
I just tried this great light moisturizer for the first time over the past two weeks. It’s now a favorite because I often have trouble finding daytime moisturizers I like. Having slightly oiler skin, I tend not to need anything very heavy during the day, so this Squalane + Probiotic Gel Moisturizer is perfect. It hydrates but soaks in beautifully and provides a great base for my makeup.
Beauty Hack #1: Mix Squalane + Probiotic Gel Moisturizer With Your Concealer
The same YouTube video shared by Biossance informed me of this great makeup hack too.
Here, you mix some concealer with a dab of the Squalane + Probiotic Gel Moisturizer on the back of your hand, and it creates a light tinted moisturizer of your own. I mix them together and apply with a concealer/foundation brush. I then go back and apply my full-strength concealer under my eyes, on my eyelids, and on the areas I need a little more coverage. I love it!
As someone who doesn’t love foundation, this is another easy option using things I already have!
4. Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil: The Star Of The Show
Not only do many on the TME team swear by this lovely Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil, my mom and I both use it too.
We have pretty different skin types, and it works beautifully for us both. I typically have oily/combination skin, and my mom has always had drier skin, but we each love patting on this beauty morning and night over our moisturizer. The oil hydrates without feeling greasy and slowly soaks in without just sitting on top of skin. It definitely gives a glowy look but not too much (my mom doesn’t like the super-glowy look.)
If you get one thing, get this rose oil!
Beauty Hack #2: Mix Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil With Your Favorite Lip Color
I recently watched a little video from Biossance’s YouTube channel, and a makeup artist shared a couple of really wonderful tips. This is one of the two tips that I’ve been using, and it’s great! You put a bit of lipstick or other cream color on your hand and add a drop of the Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil, mix, and dab on cheeks or lips for a really lovely, light and hydrating color/stain.
The Biossance Skincare Products I Use Weekly & Love
I get lazy and in and out of my skincare routines…but after a few weeks of trying some of these products along with the tried-and-true skincare I love, I’m seeing a huge difference.
And Biossance has this handy guide to layering products for maximum efficacy for us! SO helpful. I kinda just jump in there with new products, but this ensures I’m getting the most bang-for-our-buck with each use.
The Sets + Combos You Don’t Want To Miss
I LOVE that Biossance offers these sets. They’re always my favorite to purchase, especially if I’m trying a new product, want travel sizes, or want a great gift! This travel set would be perfect for stocking stuffers.
Lastly, I’ll mention that I’m seeing some real improvement on the sunspots on my chest with use of Biossance’s Squalane + Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum. I have a larger spot that’s really lightening up after regular use. I’ll continue to report back on the progress.
Let me know if you have any questions on any of these items or if you have your own favorite Biossance product we need to know about.
Until next time…
