I’ve always had a love for all things beauty, but over the last year or so I feel like I finally got kinda good at it.
It only took me 30-some years to figure out how to do my hair and makeup, but heyyy, the journey has certainly been fun.

When buying beauty products as gifts, anything that requires shade-matching or skin-type knowledge (skincare, foundation, concealer, etc) is pretty hard to do, but there are a handful of beauty items that make for foolproof gifts.
Lip products are my number one favorite thing to give, not only are they my personal favorite products but there are so many good ones to choose from these days. It’s also exciting to find holiday gift sets, especially for gifting something like perfume, as there’s more than one fun option for the recipient.
Whether you’re looking for some gifts for the beauty-lovers in your life, or you’re shopping in hopes to find gems for your own stocking, these are my top favorite gifts from Sephora at Kohls!
1 | Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm
The Lip Butter Balm’s by Summer Fridays are arguably some of the best tinted glosses on the market (and their extreme social-media-viral-status would agree). I had to wait a good few months for these to come back in stock when I first went to try them, and it was worth the wait.

I initially tried out the mini versions of these balms, only to realize the full size are totally worth it. They are a silky, vegan gloss that each have a slight tint – the perfect in-between of a gloss and lipstick. Even if you’re shopping for someone who already has one, trust me, they’re going to be giddy with another butter balm (or two) in their reach, especially since there’s a handful of colors and flavors to choose from. My personal favorite is Vanilla Beige (warning: toddlers love these, too, ha!).
2 | Tula Eye Balm Duo Set
Both Scotti and myself have sung the praises of Tula’s under eye balms for years. They were my favorite product when I was at the end of my pregnancy journey and all through the first season of being postpartum.
These balms have the most amazing cooling sensation as you swipe, giving epic amounts of hydration and glow to make your under eyes appear instantly brighter (and your overall vibe look, uh, awake). This holiday set includes Tula’s best selling rose-gold shade (my personal favorite) and a new champagne hue. Plus, they’re in cute, festive chrome tubes that scream ‘tis the season!

This blush by Rare Beauty is, hands down, my favorite blush on the market (oh, and if you could only see my stash of all the different blush products I’ve tried).

They are super pigmented (a little goes a long way!) but melt into the skin like butter, blending out perfectly. The color Hope was my first fave as an everyday shade, but if you want to feel a bit more festive or give this as a fun gift, reach for the shades Love or Grateful.
4 | Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lips Set
The “Maracuja Juicy Lips” products by Tarte blow my mind every time I use them. They smother your lips with ultra-hydration and even as the product dissipates throughout the day, your lips are left feeling buttery soft.
This is one of those lip products I kicked myself for not trying the moment I first heard about it, as it’s every bit worth the money and space in every one of your purses. Your lips will actually look like the product images featured online.

5 | Saie Glowy Super Gel
The product I start my makeup with every single time. Saie’s Dewy Highlighter is perfect for both an overall base to your makeup (how I personally use it) or can be dabbed on the high points of your face after applying your makeup for a touch of glow.
Saie is one of my all time favorite Clean Beauty brands, and this is easily my top favorite product from them. I’ve gone through an entire tube and purchased a second one, and I know I’ll be buying more in the future.
The Super Gel is easy to use for makeup-beginners, too – the glow is natural without being overwhelming or oily looking.
6 | Makeup By Mario Master Mattes Eyeshadow Palette

Gift giving can be hard (as is having to answer the question from others about what you want), but a good lip product is the easiest and most exciting option, I think… which is probably why I feature so many in this round-up.
