My Go-TO Gray Paint Colors

Ready for a spring project?!  Paint is the quickest ( and most cost-effective) way to transform any space. Recent trends move toward cool and crisp colors, with gray being the most popular. But, damn, grays can be tricky. How many times have you thought you found the perfect paint chip only to bring it home and have it look completely purple (or blue, or brown ..) when you get it up on the wall. To make it easy for you, here are a few of our go-to gray paint colors and how we use them.

These colors are cool and serene and make an amazing statement!  The contrast is bold and makes them the perfect color for a more modern interior. I would pair these cool tones with warm woods to make an inviting modern space.

This is a great neutral combination from Sherwin Williams.  On the left is SW Drift of Mist, and on the right is SW Grizzle Gray.  Again high in contrast but with a slightly warmer feel, these colors could really create a unique space that could work well with a variety of color schemes. Use these with a mix of white finishes and warm wood tones.

A crisp clean gray is sometimes hard to find. They can tend to lean brown, blue or even purple depending on the lighting or other finishes around. These two choices from benjamin moore are a couple of my go to choices when we need a clean and simple gray.  We would pair this with crisp white finishes.

Get your brushes out —any of these colors are sure to transform a space in your house this spring.  Do you have gray paint color you are loving on? Let us know what it is!
