My dearest short friends, friends with a shorter torso, or those who might be dealing with a ‘certain age’ right now…have no fear. I have found the high-rise jeans of our dreams.

Oh, a soft waistband and comfy jean is what you want? Well, rag & bone heard us. And I am fully convinced now that rag & bone’s Featherweight Jeans are the best lightweight jeans around. I believe Em said it first around here and she’s right: these jeans are on-trend, comfy, and versatile.

High-Rise Jeans I Can Actually Wear All Day

I don’t know exactly when it started but I now have AM clothes and PM clothes — mostly when it comes to waistbands — and these Rag & Bone jeans somehow bridge the gap between the pants I want to wear out of the house and the loungewear I pretty much have to change into as soon as I get back home. SO comfy & cute on my shorter torso. Hooray!

Not only does this pair of high-rise jeans solve my recent battle with too-tight waistbands, but also my battle with wanting lighter weight clothing most of the year now. (It’s getting hot in here.)

But it doesn’t mean we have to sacrifice ANY fashion here, my friends. No no. That is NOT what we’re going to even mess around with in our mid-40’s, especially if you know me at all. My body might be shifting but my taste level and picky-ness level when it comes to clothing is fully intact.

The cool thing about these jeans too is that I can kind of shimmy them up or down to work as high-rise or a bit lower rise/baggy version. It’s because the material is so soft. This outfit is going to be a true go-to this fall.

As for the rest of the outfit details, this Allsaints blazer is one purchase I actually kept from the Nordstrom sale this year. The color, structure and slightly longer/oversized fit is soooo good. It feels more modern than a traditional length blazer but it’s just slightly oversized, not too much. It’s a keeper for years to come.

These Marc Fisher boots have taken me far already with my fall outfits. I love the pop of ivory to brighten up otherwise darker outfit combos and the pointed to just looks so chic with the full length, loose jeans we’re all wearing now. TTS.

Btw, I’m 5’4″ and haven’t hemmed these jeans yet. They work great with the heeled boots but are a little long to wear even with my platform sneakers (for a rainy climate that is) I’ll get them hemmed at Nordstrom soon!

This gorgeous deep raisin suede Madewell bag is the perfect size and warms up my whole look. I think this look really needed something in a warmer shade to finish it off. This Aimee Kestenberg tote would also be a great option if you need something a little bigger.

Thank you so much to Nordstrom + Collective Voice for sponsoring this article. Thank you Nordstrom for always having the pieces we’re after even in these tricky times where getting dressed is tough. I love that I know Rag & Bone, AllSaints and Madewell items that make me feel fab will be available. And readers thank you so much for your continued support, especially right now as I figure out a whole new way to approach getting dressed. It doesn’t go unnoticed. As always, all opinions and selections are my own.
