My athletic wardrobe could rival my actual wardrobe. If you’ve seen any of my TikTok videos, then you know I have some pretty stellar workout pieces. This year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has so many amazing athletic and athleisure pieces so I had to create a capsule wardrobe of the best of the best in the sale!
Best Of The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: A Plus-Size Activewear Capsule Wardrobe
My absolute top activewear pick in the sale this year has to be the Nike Palazzo pants. They are GORGEOUS. I already have them in gray but also ordered them in black. They are the most posh pair of sweatpants ever and extremely versatile. They can be dressed up with heeled booties and a great cashmere sweater, or you can keep it sporty and pair them with a great patterned sports bra and a fun pair of sneakers.
There are also some seriously fun Zella leggings in the sale that I’ve found to be such a great high-waisted fit and can also be worn for an intense workout or styled up for running errands (just like those palazzo pants). If you’re looking for a great pair of basic black leggings, then these Nike One Luxe leggings are so great and super-soft!
Needless to say, this year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has got me seriously crushing on some amazing activewear pieces!

1 / Alo Streetside Half Zip Faux Fur Hoodie: Okay y’all, this Alo hoodie only goes up to a size L, but I was able to give her a try, and she fits! Typically Alo hoodies fit me in size L for reference. I absolutely adore the fuzzy Cookie Monster vibes of this sweatshirt. I’m imagining throwing it on for chilly walks or after a hot yoga session.
2 / Nike Essential Embroidered Swoosh Organic Cotton Tee: I always love a good basic workout tee, and this Nike organic cotton top is perfect! I snagged this in an XL and LOVE it! Now I’m tempted to order every. single. color.
3 / Zella All Day Oversize T-Shirt: This oversized tee is another great staple t-shirt and is great for both workouts and stying up with your athleisure. I love the taupe color (Purple Moon,) and it comes in two others as well.
4 / Nike Sportswear Icon Clash Colorblock Anorak: I am OBSESSED with this Nike colorblock anorak and think the entire set is so much fun (see matching skirt here). I have no clue how I’m going to style it, but I know I need it!
5 / Nike Sportswear Icon Clash Colorblock Skirt: This is the matching skirt to go with the anorak above. How good is this entire set?! It gives me total Serena Williams vibes and I am totally here for it.
6 / Zella Amazing Cozy Wrap Jacket: If you’re looking for a wrap jacket that’s perfect for styling over your yoga gear, then this is it, my friends! It looks so warm and cozy, and also comes in white.
7 / Champion Crop Reverse Weave Sweatshirt: I’m a sucker for a good cropped sweatshirt and actually own a Champion cropped sweatshirt in this exact color. I think these pair well with black jeans and even look great with a long maxi skirt. Crops are a must for my wardrobe!
8 / Nike Sportswear Knit Palazzo Pant: These are THE incredibly versatile pants that I’m in love with and mentioned earlier in the post. I’m quite certain these are the best sweatpants I have ever owned and they make for the perfect athleisure piece. I’d even be so bold as to say these are my favorite find from the entire NSale.
9 / Nike Element Half Zip Running Top: I have a half-zip very similar to this. Same color and material, but she is very, very old, and I totally need an update. I love the heathered pink and think it’s perfect for my favorite outdoor activities.
10 / Nike Air Max 270 Premium Sneaker: I have these and love them! The cushioning on these bad boys is amazing, and I can make it through an entire HIIT workout without feeling a thing — it’s like I’m walking on clouds. These come in two colors and I went with the black and white colorway.
11 / Sweaty Betty All Sport Backpack: This was one piece that I picked up from in-store at my local Nordstrom, and I am loving it! It has a few mesh compartments inside for all the necessities and the material feels like it will be pretty water-resistant.
12 / Sorel Kinetic Sneak High Top Sneaker: I’m a huge fan of Sorel shoes and absolutely love the kinetic sneakers. They come in a great military green color and my personal fav… black with orange and white trim. So good.
13 / Adidas Swift Run Sneaker: I’m not one who typically likes a lot of patterns, but these Swift Run sneakers are so cute and fun. I like being able to spice up a basic outfit with fun shoes, and these sneaks are perfect for that.
14 / Adidas NMD-R1 Sneaker: If you aren’t into patterned sneakers, then give these Adidas a go! Adidas run wide which is perfect for my feet and I find them great for running or walking. I have a pair of NMD sneaks in a blush color and they are so comfy.
15 / Nike Sportswear Essential Fleece Pants: These are great basic sweatpants and a must-have for colder weather. They also come in straight sizes too!
16 / Nike Sportswear Logo Oversize Cotton Graphic Tee: Very into this bubblegum tee that I snagged in-store as well! Mine’s an XL and I’m tempted to buy it in a few more colors…
17 / Zella Studio Lite Print High Waist 7/8 Leggings: Ever since I tried on these high-waisted Zella leggings, I’ve become a total convert to the brand. The pattern is so much fun and great for HIIT workouts. They can also be worn so many different ways.
18 / Nike Swoosh Icon Clash Dri-FIT Sports Bra: I love Nike Sports bras and think that this one is such a cool pattern. I’d pair this with the Nike palazzo pants I love for sure!
19 / Nike Dry Swoosh Bold Sports Bra: This is the same sports bra as the one above, but in a great basic black. Available in straight sizes too!
20 / Nike React Phantom Run Flyknit 2 Running Shoe: These are a sock-fit sneaker (you just slip them on) and look super lightweight. I’m drooling over that crisp white color and want to give these a try.
21 / On Cloudflow Running Shoe: I’ve never tried On sneakers before, but really want to see what they’re all about. These have zero-gravity foam and look like they could be a very comfy running shoe.
22 / Nike One Dri-FIT Shorts: If you know me well, you know that I am a huge fan of biker shorts (and Nike) and couldn’t resist adding these to the capsule!
