Happy first Friday of spring! It’s officially a new season of chilly mornings and warm afternoons…one of the hardest times of year for getting dressed. If you (like me) are relying on athleisure and cozy layers to get through the next few weeks, head over to Vuori’s sale section. Em’s fuzzy sherpa jacket is a team fave (Shana, Julieta & Amy also own it), perfect for throwing on when it’s cold, and easy enough to peel off when it warms up without feeling like you’re lugging a big winter coat around.

A few more top picks on sale at Vuori: this insulated shirt jacket (also a great, lightweight option for a spring layer), this cute thermal hoodie (under $100), Scotti’s flare pants, and these leggings in my latest color-fixation: Smoke.

Laura’s Top Sale Picks

Hey, hey Friday! Happy Spring Break weekend to those who are celebrating! I’m still working next week since I just got a few fabulous days in Palm Springs at Alt Summit earlier this week, but I’ll be doing it from the gorgeous Oregon Coast so I’m not complaining. It is quite the 180 from the sun and warmth of the desert, but I love love our coast here. It’s beautiful. Please visit if you haven’t. And please please plan a trip away with friends, whether it’s for an amazing creative conference or not; it’s so game-changing for the ol’ brain. We had the BEST time and met more amazing people.

Sales are fab this weekend again. Ooh dang and these Nikes at Nordstrom. YES please. Spring vibes in the most sporty way I love.

Trench (6) | Cover-up (M), Swimsuit (8)

ONE: The J.Crew Icon Trench has been my go-to for the past few years when it comes to making any outfit look more chic and pulled together…and it’s on sale! The structure and styling say really high-end (ahem, Burberry) but the price is nice…especially on sale. You can’t go wrong with this as a closet staple. I’ve taken it as my main coat to NYC many times and, bonus…this has a hood. (Why don’t all trench coats have hoods?!) TTS. Size up if you want to layer heavier sweaters, etc.

TWO: And sticking with J.Crew sales…both this perfect cover-up AND the swimsuit I loved most from my try-on are on sale. The cover-up is breezy and beautiful and soooo soft. The length is spot-on for feeling covered but not getting in the way. The suit comes in bra sizes and surprised me so much. I haven’t worn an underwire suit in a while and it was supportive and flattering on my frame. LOVE.

My boyfriend’s father passed away a week ago this morning. He died peacefully in his son’s arms after a long battle with lung cancer–of all things. (He was a pulmonologist who never smoked a day in his life.) We’ve spent the last week reminiscing, telling stories, and looking through 40 years worth of his belongings. From old family photos to the vinyl records he’s kept since the early ’70s, it’s brought me right back to when my own father passed away. When you get through the days because others hold you up. From flowers to casseroles to notes of sympathy and funny stories shared, I’m reminded how lucky we are to have community like that. And I’m thankful not just for family and friends, but readers who send their love and prayers — like you guys — when one of us is facing difficult times. So thank you for that…it really does mean a lot to all of us who are a part of TME.

This weekend I’m using retail therapy as a distraction when I need it! These photo bracelets are really cool and would be a great memorial idea (BOGO 50% off), I can’t stop thinking about this top (is it ugly or gorgeous — but definitely not with the pants — or maybe with them??), and I might have to snag these Ray-Bans while they’re $50 off!

Enjoy your weekend, everyone! ❤️

Jeans (28), Bodysuit (s), Cami | Trench (xs, runs big), Wedges (on crazy sale!)

ONE: MOTHER’S Weekender flare jeans are probably my all-time favorites and there are a bunch on sale during Saks’ Friends & Family Event (25% off!). Classic, timeless, they’re super flattering and not overly trendy…they make the booty look good and legs look long! This wash is my favorite from the sale — on their way to me! (The bodysuit I’m wearing is on sale in black…only a few left but I LOVE it!)

TWO: Gap’s Icon Trench Coat is over $50 off, and comes in petite, standard and tall sizes for the perfect fit…everyone needs a go-to trench for spring and this one is lightweight and has an updated, slightly oversized silhouette. (Also in navy.)

Linzi’s Top Sale Picks

It’s been a while since I hopped in on the Friday Sales Reports, but Saks is having (in my opinion) their absolute BEST sale of the year, so I couldn’t resist. Tons of new styles are 25% off from some of my favorite designers….Vince, Frame, Rails, MOTHER, and more!

I just put together a post of a bunch of MOTHER sale jeans if you want to see selfies here. Also, I’ve had a lot of questions about my v-neck white tee that I wear on repeat, and it’s on sale right now as well! Speaking of perfect designer white tees, I’ve also been eyeing this perfectly simple, not-too-fitted tee from Vince. You know I’m a happy gal when I find really good jeans and really good white tops on sale. Now I just need brand new Birkenstocks to go on sale as well…which happens like, NEVER! One can hope, at least. Happy weekend, everyone!

Tee (XS), $44 Jeans ($44! 29 S) | Halter (S), Jeans (29), Clogs

ONE: This is one of my absolutely favorite white v-necks (please excuse the wrinkles…it’s so good it gets dug out from the bottom of the laundry basket). Nice low v-neck (but not too low) and perfect shoulder and sleeves for my personal style. My GAP jeans are also still on MAJOR sale, under $50! I have the similar flares, but I’m totally into the wide-leg version (shown above) right now. .

TWO: This Vince halter top is an absolute stunner in person. Pricey (it’s Vince), but it really is special, and I’m thrilled it’s part of the big sale. My light wash wide-leg jeans are on sale at Neiman Marcus, but maybe worth checking to see if Nordstrom will price match?  My Nisolo clogs (with a bit of comfy memory foam in the footbed) are on sale too…total jackpot sale weekend!!!

Amy’s Top Sale Picks

This is my second springtime living in San Diego and I’m so happily surprised with how lovely it is. There’s a true, storybook theme happening: the temps are chilly in the mornings, the daytimes fluctuate between cloudy, cool and sunny, warm, and we get a healthy sprinkling of rain almost weekly. It keeps me in a constant dilemma of wishing for hotter, beachy weather – and pure contentment for these stereotypical days of watching new flowers bloom (that don’t include melting snow puddles!). And that’s exactly how spring is supposed to feel.

As for sales, everyone’s excited for Saks, naturally. If you want an easy pair of denim that is loose enough to feel modern but still wearable with all the topsit’s this one. I have an older wash and it’s one of the few ankle jeans I’ve loved in every season of life, through every changing fashion landscape (true to size for me). Over at Nordstrom, two colors of my most worn denim jacket are on sale. If you follow me on socials you’ve seen me rock the green nearly every other day lately (runs huge, a medium is super oversized on me). Last but not least, my latest white denim score is on sale for J.Crew’s big spring sale (my personal fave of the weekend). This jean is jaw-dropping in real life/on your own body – SO much better than pictured.

Pants (S, Long), Ballet Flats | Pants (8), Top (M)

ONE: The calendar says spring, but the REAL way I know we’re inching closer to dreamy weather is from all of my favorite beachy pants getting restocked!! These soft cotton gauze pants were maybe my most worn thing of all last year, and to celebrate them being back they’ve been on sale for the past week-ish (WITH a gorgeous new color in the mix). They run long and loose, I sized down in the waist and did NOT need the tall inseam.

TWO: The best shoe in the world (okay, that’s extreme, but one of my faves + most worn) is on sale in chocolate brown and sizes are going, going – so don’t say I didn’t warn you to run! Buttery soft and makes every outfit better. If you’re in a summery mood, the mesh version is also on sale in FIVE colors (guess which one I added to my cart…).

Em’s Top Sale Picks

Our elementary school’s annual art auction fundraiser is this weekend, and it’s one of those things that makes me feel like I’m a parenting meme in the best freaking way. We all stress out for weeks trying to make something with our kiddos that we’d actually want on the walls of our homes, then pull an all-nighter group texting about pricing and starting bids (and maaaaaybe tweaking a couple of things to make it more, ahem…compelling?), and then JUST when you’re so sick of looking at said project you vow you’ll be glad never to set eyes on it again…you get drunk and outbid everyone for the joy of taking it home yourself!! I genuinely cannot wait.

Sales this weekend! I’ve got the spending itch, apparently, because this is one of those weeks where I’m tempted by every. single. thing. on my list. The dark denim and gold on these Converse? Obvious yes. This admittedly kinda boring black dress that I would honestly wear every day of summer – it’s perfect. (In petite and plus, too.) And do I need a Gucci stovetop moka pot? Indeed I do not, but for under $100, it’d be so fun for camping or just as the most delightful kitchen accent. Maybe it’s even the ridiculous Mother’s Day gift the moms in your life never knew they needed.

Happy weekend, friends! – Em

Sunglasses | Pants (TTS)

ONE: I’ve had these Ray Bans for a couple of years now, and they hardly ever go on sale. I have the green and get asked about them every time I wear them – the pop of color is just so fun – but the black version is so classic and pretty, too. Also wearing: jeans (size up one) | jacket (TTS, wearing a small – also on sale)

TWO: They’re baaaaaack. We’re big fans of Gap’s crinkle gauze around here (I think Amy could write a thesis about it), and I’m so glad they brought back these pants this year. They feel like luxurious pajamas and manage to look both beachy and elevated out and about. Unicorn pants for summer and spring. True to size. Also wearing: tank (TTS) | tote is sold out, but I’m obsessed with this one

I had such a fun week connecting with other women in entrepreneurship. A group of business owners I volunteer with is preparing for a morning at our State Capitol next week to learn more about our state-level legislative processes. I couldn’t be more excited about it. The privilege of using my voice within my community is a significant one, and I’m grateful for it.

On the fashion front, the Saks Friends & Family sale is really calling my name. I started scrolling through the items and found myself inspired to pull similar pieces back out of my closet. For example, I have a denim pencil skirt similar to this beautiful FRAME brand skirt that I want to style for spring (preferably with stunning stacked-heel sandals like these by Chloe). I also love, love, love this blue and cream striped Rails sweater, which would pair beautifully with horseshoe jeans – yes, I said it! I don’t know why, but this denim cut is the most controversial style I’ve seen in the past few years. It seems like you either love it or you hate it without a lot in between. If you’re in the “love” camp, these Citizens of Humanity horseshoe jeans with a raw hem are so cool.

Lace Shirt (M) | Sandals

ONE: Laura inspired me to look for a lace tee to layer under and over other items this spring. I found this budget-friendly option in a handful of pretty colors, including this lovely lavender. I’m wearing the medium, which is snug but works best for layering.

TWO: I absolutely love these comfortable Sorel sandals. I’ve had them since the beginning of last summer and have worn the heck out of them. The colorway on sale is a chic beige and rose color story that will look great with spring pastels.

A week from now I’ll be surrounded by my two nieces, my parents, Jon and the beach. It will be almost a year since I’ve seen my two nieces and I can’t wait to spend quality time with them in my happy place. It makes putting up with the current snow storm worthwhile.

One of my goals this year has been to read everyday. I’ve found that reading before bed every night helps my anxiety so much. I don’t have time to spiral when I’m reading. Although I did have to stop reading A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara because it was one of the darkest books I’ve ever read. I do however, highly recommend Little Secrets by Jennifer Hillier if you like thrillers — I stayed up all last night finishing it. It’s free for Kindle Unlimited readers!

Wrap Sweater (Runs Large) | Jeans (29, TTS)

ONE: Wayf Sterling Wrap Sweater – This wrap sweater was one of my favorites from the NSALE a few years back. I love Wayf’s affordable prices and stylish pieces. They’ve added five more color options, including a lovely lavender purple.

TWO: Gap’s High-Rise ’70s Flare Jeans – I know I’m not the only TME fan of these high-rise ’70s flares. Linzi has them and loves them just as much as I do! They are seriously comfortable and flattering.
