Our Top Sellers This Month

0

Happy September (said very, very blissfully). In case you’ve missed any of my recent blog posts or mentions of how excited I am for fall – here I am repeating it. It always feels like a fresh start…even more so than New Year’s. I don’t know if it’s because that’s when the new school year starts and I haven’t yet shaken that (OOF, haha) or the cooler weather change, holiday decorations and wardrobe switch up. Either way, I hope you guys are feeling the excitement too, even amongst all the hard life things going on.

With my usual fall thesis aside, I’m back with our top sellers of the month. And, yes…the picks are only adding fuel to my fall giddiness. A lot of them are on sale for Labor Day, too!

But First…Here’s The Small Business Finds We’re Loving This Month

Wanted to give a special shoutout this month to the small business finds we’re loving from our TME Shop. (Pretty soon, we’ll have a ton of new things for the holidays that we’re so freaking excited about). And, it always goes without saying – thank you guys for all the support and love with our venture. It’s been ridiculously fun for the team curating these special finds, meeting the most talented small businesses, and getting to share them with you all.

For Labor Day, you can take $10 off every $100 spent on sale pieces + free shipping on orders over $100.

  1. The Madrid Sunrise Bracelet – This bracelet was designed in Madrid by founder Almudena Espinosa, and handmade in Colombia by Wayuu artisans using traditional braiding techniques. We describe them as the grown-up version of those beaded bracelets you pick up on vacation and wear all summer long (and if you’re like me – never taking them off for fall, winter and spring too). I’d stack them with my existing bracelets, but they’re just as pretty worn solo.
  2. Lettuce Earrings – I have yet to come across earrings quite like these. The organic shape, intricate little details on the inside, and texture caught my eye the second the team showed them to me. Little pieces of art, truly.
  3. Cordelia Earrings – I remember seeing these earrings for the first time (they were part of our previous holiday endeavors), and it was a no-brainer YES. Because of the vintage-y gold finish, they almost feel like something you could inherit from your Grandmother’s incredible jewelry collection, but they’re far from feeling outdated. They’re simple enough to wear with an everyday top and jeans, but statement-making enough that I’d totally wear them for weddings, dressed-up events and holiday parties.

The Best Sellers This Month: Summer To Fall Pieces To Get Excited About

Continuing on with the other stuff you guys (and us at TME) have been loving this month. I think a lot of us can agree – there’s nothing better than popping on a cozy sweater with jeans you feel great in and a cool jacket for fall. But, if your fall weather leans as hot as ours sometimes does, those summer to fall transition pieces are in the mix, too.

1. Brooklinen Classic Percale Fitted Sheet

Brooklinen Classic Percale fitted sheet in storm stripe

Where To Buy: Brooklinen

This was part of our recent dorm roundup (as you may know, S sent Raines off to college recently, AHHH). These sheets were one of their top picks. 25% off sitewide + 50% off select bundles.

Shana’s Note: We’re going with this fitted sheet and matching pillowcases in ‘storm stripe’. A top sheet will only end up on the floor.

2. Hunter Original Tall Waterproof Rain Boot

Hunter Original Tall waterproof rain boots in dark red

Where To Buy: Nordstrom | DSW | Hunter

I’ve gotten more and more on the Hunter rain boots wagon (Abby’s to blame), and these are the best colors I’ve seen yet.

Shana’s Note: Hunter Rain Boots, in seriously chic colors? These. Each color (dark red, hot fudge, natural) is muted, neutral, and beautiful. (Except for the light pink – not my fav, haha.)

3. Z Supply Scout Jersey Pant

Z Supply Scout jersey pants in neutral

Where To Buy: Z Supply

I’ll never, ever say no to a pair of cozy pants, especially ones that feel a little elevated like these. That wash is great, and it comes in a ton of colors.

Linzi’s Note: Not new. Not particularly exciting. But I feel badly leaving them out… they work so hard that they deserve some praise. These comfy pants are what I wear around the house all.summer.long. And have for years. Sometimes with the matching tank if I’m feeling cute, but most often with an old comfy cami.

4. COACH Soft Empire 40 Carryall Bag

COACH Soft Empire 40 Carryall bag

Where To Buy: Nordstrom

Shana is forever adding to my list of dream bags. Consider this one added. Love the smaller version for everyday things, too.

Shana’s Note: The bag that’s haunting my dreams, over $500: Coach. Well technically I wanted this Miu Miu, but I’m not that kind of bag girl (honestly, even the Coach is a splurge).

5. Dôen Amalia Top

Dôen Amalia top in warm floral print

Where To Buy: Dôen

This top was part of my roundup of cute tops to wear for summer into fall. Shana has + loves – she wore it all summer long. It’s the kinda top that’s great for the heat, but the warm colors bring it into fall.

6. Ritual HyaCera Supplement 30 Vegan Capsules

Ritual HyaCera skin supplement, 30 vegan capsules

Where To Buy: Ritual

I’ll let Shana give you the deets below, but consider me extremely intrigued. Up to 30% off.

Shana’s Note: “Skin vitamins” are shaky science…but I’m intrigued by Ritual’s HyaCera. Apparently, Ritual scientists were skeptical about entering the beauty market since this area is pretty light on actual studies…but they picked two ingredients that looked to be the most promising (hyaluronic acid and a plant-derived ceramide) and ran their own. It was a 12-week randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, using 63 people, ages 26 to 64. The results were a 3.6x reduction in crow’s feet and 2.9x improvement in skin smoothness. Sooooo….I’m going to try it. Ask me about it in November, haha.

7. MOTHER Denim The Whole Lot Zip

MOTHER Denim The Whole Lot Zip culottes in medium wash

Where To Buy: MOTHER

Shana and I did a little roundup of culottes recently, and I’m sooo excited to see some of you guys on board. Love the wash on this MOTHER pair.

8. Frēda Salvador Laurel Mary Jane

Frēda Salvador Laurel Mary Jane flats in vanilla jacquard mesh

Where To Buy: Frēda Salvador

Frēda Salvador, Frēda Salvador, Frēda Salvador. Can do zero wrongs in my book. Just when I think they already came out with the best, most interesting flats – they drop ‘Vanilla Jacquard Mesh.’ Can’t wait to see what they drop for the rest of the year. (On sale, too!).

Shana’s Note: Freda’s having a big sale!! I looked at alllll of it, and my top picks, hands down, are these studded fisherman sandals (only a few sizes left, sadly) or the Laurel Mary Jane in ‘Vanilla Jacquard Mesh’. Both get my stamp of approval for all day city walking.

9. Faherty Recycled Cotton Knit Dress

Faherty recycled cotton knit striped polo dress in chocolate brown

Where To Buy: Faherty

I’ve been peeking at a bunch of striped polo dresses the past few months. They feel like a perfect summer-to-fall transition dress. Love the chocolate brown, too. 54% off.

10. Sam Edelman Michaela Jelly Mary Jane Flat

Sam Edelman Michaela jelly Mary Jane flats

Where To Buy: Nordstrom | Sam Edelman | Zappos | Dillard’s | Shopbop | Bloomies

Linzi recently rounded up her top ten most worn summer wardrobe essentials, and styled up some of her faves with these jelly flats. They peeked out ever so slightly from her jeans but were still an obvious switch up from other flats, sneaks or boots.

11. GapStudio Canvas Belted Utility Pants

GapStudio canvas belted utility painter pants

Where To Buy: GAP

Yes, Shana – please do a try-on of painter jeans. I LOVE (and can’t decide which ones I wanna buy for fall).

Shana’s Note: Is it worth doing a try-on of painter jeans? I keep looking at J.Crew’s boyish pair and Free People’s paint-splattered pair (ugh – not the pink), and Zac Posen’s pair for GAP. Anyone else’s heart beat fast at these jeans?

12. Sam Edelman Ellina Ankle Strap Sandal

Sam Edelman Ellina ankle strap sandals in tan

Where To Buy: Nordstrom | Bloomingdale’s | Sam Edelman

These have been a top seller for…a few months, now? And, I get it. A strappy tan sandal that you can actually walk in is worth the purchase + hype. On sale!

Shana’s Note: Gang, I’ve been wearing these sandals all over Philly and they’re great. The straps are thin, but leather is soft and the straps perfectly placed so they’re comfortable, even when walking. There’s no digging in – they’re supportive and keep my foot in place without pulling across my foot or squeezing. And the padded footbed is decently padded, especially for such a minimalist shoe.

13. Aritzia Geneva Jacket

Aritzia Geneva blouson jacket

Where To Buy: Aritzia

Come every fall, I most look forward to jacket trends. They’re not only a cozy layer, but they can make your outfit 10x more interesting. The options get cooler and cooler every year. This year, I’ve been peeking at a ton of blouson jackets, including this Aritzia number. If you’re curious for more options, here’s my roundup.

14. The Company Store Premium Down Alternative Medium Warmth Comforter

The Company Store down alternative comforter

Where To Buy: The Company Store

I’m with Raines – my least favorite thing to do is put my duvet back inside the cover. The horrors…I know. But, picture me fully INSIDE the cover, struggling, sweating and going into panic mode from the lack of airflow. While I’m sure there’s a better way, I haven’t nailed it, so I think it’s time for me to switch to this, ASAP. A little luxury that’s totally worth it. 30% Off $100+ with Code: LDW26.

Shana’s Note: Raines hates taking a duvet cover on/off, so I’ve been searching for something that will keep him warm, but still can be easily washed. We bought The Company Store’s LoftAIRE Down Alternative Comforter. It comes in three different weights, a ton of good colors, and the reviews are glowing (there’s even several mentions of how perfect these are for the dorm). It’s basically a duvet insert that doesn’t look like one.

15. Madewell Super Stretch Denim Wide Leg Jeans

Madewell super stretch wide leg jeans in dark wash

Where To Buy: Nordstrom | Madewell

This is one of my favorite denim washes I’ve seen in a minute (keep scrolling for my other fave, below). The shape is great, too.

Shana’s Note: If you’re not ready for baggy jeans, but your old style is looking stale…this pair. There’s something so leggy, casual, and cool about them.

16. LE BOP Andi Oversized Poplin Balloon Pants

LE BOP Andi oversized poplin balloon pants in chocolate brown

Where To Buy: Shopbop

Yes to the chocolate brown, yes to the interesting not-just-straight-leg shape. I’m ready for balloon pants this fall. More balloon pants picks from Shana, here.

Shana’s Note: LE BOP just knows how to make fun stuff. We tend to love anything poplin so these got the immediate cart add. I’m also… kiiiind of intrigued in that bright strawberry red.. but it may be giving too much MC Hammer? Cute.

17. Naot Kayla Wedge Sandal

Naot Kayla wedge sandals with molded footbed

Where To Buy: Nordstrom | DSW | Dillard’s

I’ve probably said this before, but this is why I love when S does a try-on. Those retailer images DO NOT do these shoes justice. They’re much chicer on an actual person.

Shana’s Note: These sandals are ridiculously comfortable. They have a molded footbed that reminds me of Birkenstocks (but softer!!), and a buttery-soft leather upper. They have a velcro closure (that doesn’t bother me) and an ever-so-slight wedge heel. They’re amazing for walking around town (and would be the best sandals for cobblestone streets) – they have much more of a comfort-shoe feel.

18. Pistola Harlowe Relaxed Baggy Jean

Pistola Harlowe relaxed baggy jeans in Great Falls wash

Where To Buy: Pistola

This is my other fave denim wash. It’s not stark like acid wash, but still has a slightly retro, worn feel to it. The color of the blue also helps. Use code: THEMOMEDIT for 15% off.

Shana’s Note: A very cool denim wash: Great Falls. It’s as varied and interesting as ripped jeans without being ripped jeans. I love it. I’d size up and wear these a little slouchy.

19. Reformation Aven Satin Pants

Reformation Aven satin balloon pants

Where To Buy: Nordstrom | Reformation | Bloomies

Another great option for balloon pants. Comfy like sweats to wear for everyday, but the satin makes them easy to dress up.

Shana’s Note: These are the pants most calling my name. I would definitely wear them with little flat sandals now, and cashmere sweaters and heels later. They also come in shorter inseams on Ref’s site.

20. Margaux The Flat Sandal in Nappa

Margaux The Flat sandal in tan nappa leather

Where To Buy: Margaux

The famous Margaux flats. You know the ones. Just great all-around.

Shana’s Note: ‘The Flat’ sandals from Margaux are the real deal: hand-made in Spain (using a high-quality Italian nappa leather), with a memory-foam footbed and really well-engineered straps that hold the sandals securely to my foot, making them really easy to walk in.

See ya next month with more top sellers!
