Every teen I know loves Urban Outfitters. When they’re not out thrifting, that is, UO is their first stop. Before we get into the gifting, if you’re looking for clothes for a teen guy, these are are the two outfits my boys have been wearing on the regular (and most pieces are currently a whopping 40% off for UO Rewards Members, all it takes is an email signup!). Pax’s jeans are really baggy (no need to size up), and he loves the star graphic sweater (dressy enough for a holiday party, too – layer it over a collared shirt + tie, if needed).

Raines has been loving this modern re-creation of what we all wore in college, although I don’t think he quite realizes what it is, haha: thermals, flannels, Birks and all! (The flannel is shorter and boxier, tho – looks cool.)

While Urban has an amazing selection of gifts, my boys really like all the soft stuff, specifically sweatpants & hoodies. They’re both big fans of the Iets Frans line, which has gender-neutral sizing (I find it runs a little big). Raines & Pax have been eyeing up these sweatpants, for example.

But it was this green hoodie they both LOVED. Pax, of course, nabbed it.

The one thing I really like about UO sweatpants (like the women’s pair pictured below) is that they have some seriously cute design details: wide-legs, a low, almost paperbag-ish waist, cool track details running down the leg – and they’re really cute on. The fit is mostly TTS (although I’d size up one for a slouchier fit).

Raines has been asking for an instant film camera for some time. He and his friends love the look of the old snapshots, and are so charmed by…film?? So yeah – an Instax camera, as well as film and maybe even some fun frames are high on his wish list.

In addition to fleece and tech (haha such a teenage combo), my guys also picked some cute beanies, UGGs, and giant blanket scarves as all making really great, foolproof gift ideas (although that blanket scarf was more for girls they know, rather than themselves).

My guys also thought that some of their (girl) friends would love this jacket. They’re right – it’s cute, right? I love the cropped shape and the lines here, and the fact that the sleeves are lined in something slippery, so even chunky knit sweaters will slide easily into the sleeves.
