I have embarked on something of a quest, trying to find a pair of white (or, more accurately, ivory) jeans for the 2026 summer. While white jeans are always in style (says me), for 2026, I’m looking for white jeans that are cool, classic, and unfussy, with a casual, nonchalant vibe. I mostly want to wear these jeans with barely-there flip-flops or sneakers – maybe even black sneakers (or sneaker-ballet-flats) this spring. (And yes – I do have some new – and fresh!! – white jean outfit formulas for 2026, at the end.)
I don’t want preppy white jeans, but neither do I want ripped white jeans. I’m looking for the 2026 French-girl interpretation.

What this means, I’ve decided (haha) is that the perfect white jean for 2026 is:
- Closer to ivory than bright white
- A looser fit (could be on the baggier side)
- More wide-leg than straight leg
- Not cropped – I’m looking for a full-length jean
So I’ve rounded up a few off-white jeans that I think are worth trying – would love to know if you guys have tried any of these!

One note: The key to getting this looser, casual, nonchalant look is to size up. I strongly believe that this denim style should not fit tight. Going up a size (or two!!) is really important. If you’re on a similar hunt, these are the best white, off-white, and ivory jeans I’ve found so far…
1. Lululemon EasyFive Low-Rise Classic Wide-Leg Pant
These denim-like pants come in two different shades of ivory, and they both look great. These are made from a Cotton-Blend, Utilitech™ Twill Fabric that feels like denim, so I’m calling it close enough. Also available in 28″, 31″ or 34″ lengths, I have VERY high hopes for these loose jeans. I’ll be ordering them in a size 6, 28″.
2. Boden Relaxed Wide Leg Jeans
Honestly, this is the outfit that originally started my quest a few months ago. I love everything about this outfit, and these jeans look PERFECT. Happily, they’re also available in petite, regular and long lengths, too. The only thing that gives me pause is that they have four 1-star reviews. After reading the reviews they miiiiiight just be misunderstood (size up!! size way up!!) but…hmmm.
3. MOTHER The Lemon Twist Sneak Jeans

If you love the look of the Boden jeans, but are scared off by the reviews, this wide-leg pair from Mother Denim looks similar, but is made from a cotton/lyocell blend (which should be less rigid). The model is wearing hers fitted, but – again – I would definitely size up 1-2 sizes.
4. GAP Mid Rise UltraSoft Baggy Jeans
Ok, so if you aren’t totally convinced that this trend is for you, but you’d like to try it…check out GAP’s ultrasoft wide-leg, baggy jeans. These jeans are great for summer, and ridiculously comfortable. They also come in regular, tall, and petite sizes. There are a ton of colors to choose from, in general, and that includes two different shades of white. While I’m partial to the ivory, the ‘optic white’ does have a cool waist-tie that I’m always a sucker for, as well as cool seam details and a pretty epic cuff. I could easily be convinced.
5. Madewell The Ultimate Wide-Leg Pant in Airy Denim
Speaking of drawstring waists…this pair of loose jeans from Madewell looks SO GOOD. They had me at “airy denim”. Only standard inseam is still stocked in the ivory (plus sizes are also sold out), but it’s worth keeping an eye on.
6. AGOLDE Low Slung Baggy Organic Boyfriend Jeans

When in doubt…I almost always find myself coming back to AGoldE – and these two pairs (technically different styles but VERY similar) are pretty good examples of why. AGoldE so often nails that easy, nonchalant look – these jeans are exactly what I’ve been trying to describe. The inseam length is around 32″, depending on size chosen. Both jeans are straight leg, but also cut for a looser fit (baggy jeans, maybe?). I’d probably try a size 28.
7. Levi’s 728 High-rise Wide-leg Women’s Jeans
Gahhhh….Levi’s are so iconic, I’m dying to try these wide-leg jeans on in a few sizes too big and just see what happens. I love the off-white, and I suspect these would slouch just…perfectly. Available in 30″ and 32″ inseams.
White Jeans Outfit Ideas For 2026 (How I’m Styling Them)
- With barely-there flip flops + an oversized tee
- With boxy linen tank tops + flat, tan sandals
- With Salomon hikers (or similar) + trench coats on rainy days
- With oversized sweaters + ballet flats

I LOVE my wide leg Gap white jeans and have nothing but positive things to say about the fit, fabric, drape, etc., and definitely recommend them. They feel more expensive than they are, in my opinion. But I also love my “tight” (ha), stretchy, skinnier white jeans—still! 🙂 I’m just a huge white jeans fan in general–a timeless classic!
Uniqlo has a jersey barrel pant right now that is perfect. While not *technically* a jean, they are a heavier fabrication, sit just right, and the off white color is exactly what you’re describing. I, too, have been obsessed with a white tee/off white jean, baggy ivory twill pant/cream cable knit sweater look for a minute now. Maybe it’s the Carolyn Bessette effect. (Which I’m fine with!)
What about AYR? So expensive but seem so good!
Yes! I love AYR! But I wanted something kinda baggy…and AYR doesn’t have a ton of those. However, they’ve completely nailed the classic, French-Vogue editor jeans tho.
I was also going to recommend the uniqlo jersey barrel pant. they are the fit you are looking for and the color you are looking for.
I purchased the Madewell airy denim jeans last week and then returned. They ARE very soft and lightweight, which is great for a summer jean (what I intended), but they are also 100% cotton. I just cannot picture sitting comfortably on a beach or in the backyard or heck, even my living room floor, in non-stretch denim. For $160 they need to work for all occasions. I’m just used to stretch these days, especially for after a big meal and relaxing with family.
