When I saw this dress, I immediately knew what I wanted to do with it — style it up for New Year’s Eve. Mmm hmmmm. There is nada I love more than a peasant-y, flowy, hippie dress…except for maybe my husband and sleep (not sure on the order there. Depends on the day ;)). Anyways, instead of going the glitzy glam route this year, I decided to take a more romantic turn, with a boho dress, fancy sweater & over-the-knee boots (or as close as I could get to them, anyways).

Whoah. I love it. Really, really love it. A look like this has that fun element and is also dressy enough for a night out on the town…or a more casual night at a friend’s. Let me tell you, I am down with an outfit like this – unique, fun and comfortable even.

It’s definitely a carefree and easy take on glam…which is not a bad thing. Not at all.

Outfit Details

dress: Topshop Grecian Embroidered Peasant Dress – this is…an amazing dress. Get it. Get it now. You won’t regret it. I love this dress. FYI: The sizing is limited (darn it), so I would also check-out their Velvet Floral Dress (so similar…just black, which would look fantastic with tall, black boots)

cardigan: Sun & Shadow Faux fur Collared Sweater –  what a gorgeous cardigan…just the right amount of slouch and sexy. I like that I can wear it with anything, too.

boots: Sole Society Andie Boot – almost sold out, but they still have a range of sizes in their Valencia boot, which is over-the-knee. Of course, there is always the Stuart Weitzman Lowland Boot, which is amazing, but I sadly lack the $798.  If I had an OTK boot, I would have worn them with this dress. Definitely. My tall black boots rocked anyways!
