If it ain’t broke, right? Moto jacket, tee, jeans and booties will probably forever be my favorite everyday outfit. Occasionally it dawns on me that all black isn’t very springy though. And during those brief moments, I seek out lighter shades, if just for a while, to help welcome myself to the season. Shana said she didn’t think she’d ever seen me in pink on the blog…well, first pink coveralls and now this pastel goodness…it must be the sunshine.
Spring Outfit Inspo: Moto Jacket & Jeans
I love how well these shades work together, and how the snake print boot adds a touch of interest and pattern to the mix. The formula? Essentially take your favorite pieces in your go-to outfit and make them all lighter. It works! As a bonus, you can find super-soft pieces, and when you wear them all together it almost feels like PJs…a happy accident that occurred with my own outfit!
Outfit Details
BLANKNYC Suede Moto Jacket (S) – A TME fav and currently on sale! Jess and Gwen own one of these and love them, and now I see why. They’re so, so soft and pretty and beautifully cut. I will say they run a little bit small, so if you plan to wear with heavier layers, size up.
J.Crew Pink Tee (S) (similar) – Mine seems to have sold out, but this J.Crew option is the same lovely shade…or if you want to go v-neck, this one is lovely.
One Teaspoon Cavalries Jeans (27) – I ordered these thinking they were a jumpsuit. Haha. You’ll see when you click through, but they are fabulously soft and just…something different…almost like more of a trouser or jogger than a jean. I’m attempting to find a matching denim top to create a good jumpsuit look without the inconvenience. Stay tuned!
Marc Fisher Yale Chelsea (TTS) – I have two pairs of boots from Marc Fisher now. Well-made, TTS and great. Love these for a great spring boot.
To help in your updating, I’ve rounded up a few of each piece that are speaking to me right now.
Light Moto Jackets
Pastel Tees
Light-Wash Jeans
What are you all up to this weekend? I’m sure I’ll be recovering from all the queso and tacos in Austin. Can’t wait to share with you all about the Mom 2.0 conference! Until then…

Love your sense of style! Best thing is that I usually have most or all of the necessary pieces for similar outfits – your posts show this less sophisticated middle aged mom how to put them together and look kind of cool! Thanks!
