I think I over-dosed on cardigans while nursing. Since I stopped, uh, TWO years ago, up until recently I hadn’t been able to even look at another cardigan without breaking out in hives. I literally wanted to run screaming.
But, you know, time marches on blah blah blah and suddenly I’m all “CARDIGANS? WHAT ARE THESE WONDROUS PIECES OF CLOTHING” so now they’re suddenly a STAPLE.

Sexy Cardigan: Not An Oxymoron! (Date Night Edit)
As I’ve mentioned before, my date nights typically involve a ton of walking so more often than not, I’m in flats. Also, since I tend to equate cardigans with words like cozy and frumpy….to bust one out on date night means that I need something seriously drapey, and maybe even a little sheer.

flats: old ShoeMint, but these pointy-toe ankle-wrap flats by Mel are very similar – the key differences being the perforated leather (nice!) and the colors are swapped – the ankle strap is nude, which will elongate the legs and work better with thicker ankles.
