Distressed Jeans

Not surprising, your pal Laura is bringing you a denim-on-denim look. My love for Gap denim & chambray runs deep & I've been wearing Gap essentials for years.
One part Americana, one part rock 'n roll.
While I’ve found a few denim gems I love, nothing can replace my all-time favorites: American Eagle Tomgirl jeans. (The best part? They’re under $40!)
Better than some designer jeans? We think so.
The winter months have us cozying up w/ warm jackets & denim in all forms...+ looking forward to spring swimwear. This & more on sale at Gap, Nordstrom & FP.
Come spring, I often find myself wanting to just...lighten up. Lighter skies, lighter mind, lighter colors. And this year, I've been really drawn to denim in a hue that I've started thinking of as, "true blue". True blue jeans aren't light wash jeans, but they're not navy, either. They're just a really pretty shade of real, blue-jean blue. The...
I think I'm on my 3rd year of raving about 1 pair of AGOLDE jeans or another. They have phenomenal washes; flattering, on-trend cuts (that aren't tricky to wear), AND they're sustainably made.
New denim brands can be a tough sell, especially at first. I hadn't tried AGOLDE jeans until a few years ago, unsure of fits and washes (I'm picky about those), and I had been solidly relying on my go-to brands like Levi's and Madewell. But being someone who doesn't happily stay in any rut for long (variety being the...
Abercrombie has really come out swinging in the past few years, particularly in their denim department. A brand that I *thought* was just a strong smelling memory of my childhood made the ultimate Justin Bieber move and reinvented themselves, now gaining just as much, if not more, love and admiration for their clothes (and not just from teenagers). The Ultimate...
These American Eagle ripped skater jeans take me back to the '90s...in all the best ways. The loose, easy fit; the distressing; the wide-leg silhouette...all in the most ridiculously soft + comfortable (non-stretch!) fabric ever.
I knew I would love these skater jeans the second I saw them online. With a rating of 4.6 from over 50 reviews, these jeans are SO good, you guys. I had high hopes when I ordered them, and when I felt the fabric in my hands, I was like yaaaaaassss. American Eagle Ripped Skater Jeans Are A '90s-Style...
You can't fake that attitude, people -- I legit feel like a total badass in this outfit. Ripped jeans, leather moto jacket, heels + sunglasses...I'd wear this every. Single. Day. If I could.
When I saw my face in some of these photos, I laughed out loud. You can't fake that attitude, people -- I legit felt like a total badass in this outfit. Ripped jeans, leather moto jacket, heels and sunglasses...this is what I'd wear every. Single. Day. If I could. Channel Your Inner Badass: This Leather Moto Jacket &...
So this outfit isn't anything ground-breaking, it just happens to be a cute twist on my usual fall outfit formula & is made of mah usual 4 pieces (featuring my fave Levi's 501s.)
As I mentioned in an earlier article, My 5 Most-Worn Pieces This Fall, I'm a girl who loves a uniform. Once I find a combination that works...I werk it. HA! Just kidding. But in all seriousness, having some sort of formula (these straight-leg jeans with this type of shoe) does help me get out the door faster, while still feeling like myself....
Over the years I've tweaked my base uniforms into a range of outfits, but if you look closely...I'm a serial outfit repeater. Think: straight-leg Levi's jeans + these must-haves.
Ultimately, I'm a pretty boring gal, fashion-wise. I tend to find my uniform and wear it to death. In the winter, it's a black turtleneck and jeans, in the summer it's a linen Reformation dress, and in the fall (or spring) when the temps are wildly fluctuating, I tend to flop around with a random assortment of pieces until...
I'm pairing a sleek top or bodysuit w/ high-rise straight-leg jeans to show off some curves, plus a leather moto, platform chelsea boots + dark lipstick. I feel like could fit right in w/ the cast of Empire Records.
The '90s are back, baby, and I. Am. Here for it. Give me all the '90s trends from back in the day: chunky shoes, relaxed denim, dark lipstick....I love it all. But this time, I'll be wearing '90s style in a less-grungy, more-sophisticated way. A '90s-Style Outfit For Now: Straight Leg Jeans, Leather Jacket & Platform Boots (+ A...
