With our firstborn, we hemorrhaged money as we sought out the “best” and most complicated baby accoutrement available. Being inexperienced with kids in general, I was totally unaware that, given a choice between a piece of Tupperware and a lights and bells-make-your-baby-brilliant-machine, most babes would happily have the Tupperware any day of the week.
What to get the toddler who has everything? Ideally something that inspires her budding sense of independence, captures the imagination, and challenges him to learn new skills, all while having fun. Here are our top-five picks for the season.
One of my pet peeves as a mom is that every company designing items for baby seems to think that babies require bright colors, happy faces, and perky puppies/kittens/trucks/flowers on everything.  So I have to wonder:  do these people even have children?  My son can't be the only kid who is completely obsessed with my plain-Jane car keys...
