Halloween is here! I found myself struggling to figure out what to do to celebrate one of my favorite holidays when parties and costumes just weren't going to happen. My roommate and I have agreed a movie night (movie day?) seems appropriate...but it doesn't feel special enough. So. I've thought up 3 ideal theme nights for celebrating Halloween at...
Should we state the obvious? OK, but let's make it quick. It's 2020. Things are weird. Halloween is most likely going to look like some half-assed version of itself. Let's band together (virtually, of course) and try to make the most of whatever at-home celebrations we can whip up with a week to spare. Enter: 10 simple Halloween recipes...

Scotti has talked about it. Shana has talked about it. I think it's been pretty well-established that Halloween is going to look...a little different this year. Maybe a lot different, depending on where you live. In our neighborhood, there's been some discussion around people putting tables at the end of their driveways and monitoring the kids from lawn chairs...
My kids get super-excited about Halloween, like...crazy excited. They start planning costumes months in advance. Of course they also do that kid thing and change their minds at the very last minute, and we're up all night on Halloween eve, remaking something that's newly inspired their hearts.

Greenlea's favorite holiday is Halloween. She LOVES the decorations, the scary movies (I mean more like Halloweentown and Curious George, less like Nightmare on Elm Street), the costumes and especially the candy. She LOVES the candy.
