Home Style Winter

Winter

My fave après ski outfits are basically a cute, fashion-y take on easy + warm. For some, this means leggings + faux-fur moon boots. For me, it's almost always jeans & a sweater. The key is to make it a bit exciting, in a nonchalant, not trying-too-hard kind of way.
When packing for a trip, sometimes I just need to get pointed in the right direction. And while most of my packing decisions for a ski weekend are obvious (skis, boots, helmet, goggles, etc.,), nailing that breezy, effortlessly chic après ski vibe (so prevalent in ski towns), does take some actual thought. I do realize, however, that there are different...
Perhaps the most foolproof outfit idea for cold-weather visits to NYC can be easily tweaked, based on personal style & weather. I love monochromatic looks (so chic) so I’d pair the pants w/ a sexy black top & add a statement coat.
I was snooping around in our TME Insiders group the other day, and reader Amanda had asked the group for some NYC outfit advice. She had plans to see Hamilton, and needed outfit ideas that were warm and chic. There were soooo many good answers in that thread! Most recommended some sort of all-black outfit (black pants, black top,...
This outfit fits my personal style perfectly: the jeans are slouchy and boyish, while the & is a liiiiiitle sexy. I love outfits that keep 'em guessing: Are you dressed up? Nah. But...maybe?
There's an outfit I've been wearing on repeat for the last several months. Most of it has been hidden away under layers of sweaters, hats, mittens and scarves, but I'm now realizing that if I strip it down to its basic components...this outfit makes transitioning to spring pretty darn easy. jacket (s) | bodysuit (s) | jeans (26) |...
While the way I feel sexy can vary from 1 day to another, lately I've been enjoying knit tops with a sweetheart neckline. They give me a warm texture with a sexy look.
A sexy little top is a must-have in my closet. Even though my culture told me to be sexy FOR men in many ways, and I then also hide it because of religion, I'm now at a point to be who I am and do things first for myself — I believe it will excite my partner differently than...
My tried-and-true shoes are a simple, easy to slip oon & off, very casual + ULTRA-comfortable for walking the city pavement (or hard kitchen floor) all day long.
The majority of my most-worn shoes this winter are the ones I've been wearing and talking about for years. I wore many of them last winter, some the winter before, and I am anticipating wearing these workhorses for years to come. Cute, comfortable and timeless shoes are difficult to push aside...even as fresh new shoes enter the mix (and there...
Sponsored by Backcountry and ShopStyle Collective Winter lasts so long here in Northern Michigan that I’m constantly trying to get creative in how to dress for it, and if we get a relatively normal amount of snow, I’m also trying to figure out how to get active in the fresh air. While it is tempting to have my sights set...
We're always looking for fun, easy ideas for winter date nights, simple ways to make a Friday or Saturday night feel more festive. I'm not always in the mood to hit a restaurant...either it's too cold, we're too tired (a pitch-dark 5PM always feels like midnight to me), or the kids are feeling grumpy about it (restaurants are hit...
There's something rad about this puffer coat from Amazon. Not only does it come in 6 of the most gorg, neutral earthy shades...it's under $100. I'm stoked to style it for winter AND spring.
The puffer jacket really seems to be having a moment on my social media channels. From Southern California to Europe and the good ol’ classic snowy states way up north (represent!) I can’t help but notice that people in all climates are rocking one. It sparked a bit of inspiration, as someone who often overlooks a puffer jacket as just...
The 1 thing that has elevated these chunky, lug sole Chelsea boots into almost everyday status is that they look so darn good with black leggings. Enter 5 cute winter outfits...
I've been wearing black leggings for...uhhh...too many years to count. And while they're not the most exciting item in my wardrobe, they're not exactly going anywhere, either. So I'm always on the lookout, especially in winter, for new ways to make this old standby feel a little more modern. A black leggings spruce up, if you will. This year,...
This sweater, as minimal as it looks, has 4 things I love: a rich color, the perfect length to tuck into higher rise jeans, the just-right slouchy fit with interesting sleeves + it's warm. The merino wool/cashmere feels cozy & delish.
There's only one sweater I've been wanting to wear every single day since the temperatures dropped: this Naadam Merino Wool balloon sleeve sweater in the most gorgeous brown. In my last post, I shared my favorite outfit to lounge and work from home, today I share my favorite pieces for going out. In my effort to survive the winter,...
