While working from home sounds good in theory…these circumstances, obviously, are not so good. That being said, those of us who are lucky enough to be working — and from home at that — just gotta go for it (as if we have a choice #doingourpart). So, to keep myself sane and feel like a real human (as opposed to molding into the shape of my couch), I’ve been attempting to get myself dressed every day…even if it means swapping my pjs for…different pjs?
Zoom Call Life: 6 Work From Home Outfit Ideas
With that, I decided to round up some outfit ideas. Some are just glorified PJs, but a few will work for Zoom video calls and other meetings via webcam.
WFH Outfit #1 – Cashmere Sweater + Joggers
You’ll never go wrong with a comfy cashmere sweater. It’s put-together…but still cozy. Add a bit of jewelry (necklace, earrings) to really make it look like you got dressed. Joggers are a closet essential — still basically pjs, but a little more like real pants.
We’ve had some requests for lower-cost cashmere sweater picks. Our favorites are Naadam’s $75 cashmere sweater (sustainable too), Everlane, and Lord & Taylor’s essential cashmere crew (currently on sale).

WFH Outfit #2 – Shades of Cream
Now, this isn’t a spill-proof outfit (unless…white wine, haha). But this is a great option for looking put-together while still feeling comfy. Cardigan, tank and nice sweats. Easy.

WFH Outfit #3: A Pop of Color
If you’re one of those people who only feels human in your jeans (Mom, I’m lookin’ at you) then this one’s for you. Add a chunky, cozy sweater on top in a bright pink to lift your spirits.
ps. The sweater also comes in a pretty, sunny yellow that I LOVE.

WFH Outfit #4 – The Video Meeting Outfit
This is exactly what I would wear if I had a really important Zoom conference call. A button-up and sweater blazer, but way comfier versions of the usual. This button-up is light-weight and airy, and the blazer is basically like wearing a cozy sweater with the look of a real blazer. Bottoms don’t really matter unless you’re standing in the camera, so pop on your comfiest jeans or keep on the pjs!

WFH Outfit #5 – An Easy Go-to
I love one-pieces. They make life so much easier. The less thinking involved, the better. If it’s warm where you live, you could totally get away with just wearing the jumpsuit as is, but for now, I’d probably wear a long-sleeve under to stay warm. Could also be more appropriate for a webcam meeting with the long-sleeve.

WFH Outfit #6 – What I’m Really Wearing
Just for a little laugh, I had to include this. Most of us are homebodies right now. I’m trying to enjoy it, but stir-craziness is definitely starting to settle in. Nonetheless, the least I can do is get up and swap out my pjs. Most days, this is what I usually go for: comfy sweatshirt, leggings and sneakers.

Hope you’re all staying healthy and sane!

Thank you for the inspiration! I read this pre-workout but afterward went and put on joggers a cashmere hoodie and graphic tee. (Today is a different graphic tee and boyfriend jeans, same cashmere hoodie circa way too many years ago…)
