I love pajama sets. There’s something about slipping into a cozy, matching set that just makes me…ridiculously happy. Maybe it’s because nothing romanticizes my actual life quite like pajamas. For example: low-key Saturday night at home? Toss in some popcorn (with toppings!) and a cute set, and suddenly it feels like a festive movie night. Skipping Friday date night to avoid the cold? Cute pajamas plus champagne turns staying in into something playful and fun—something that feels above and beyond the same old routine.
Looking For: Pajama Sets That Are Cozy, Warm & Cute…But A Little Unique, Too
I have a ton of classic pajama sets – they’re some of the most-worn things in my closet. And I have pretty strong opinions on which are the best! Frankly, I think everyone should have a pair of menswear-inspired, white cotton poplin pajamas. My favs are Petite Plume or, if you’re a pattern girl, one of Printfresh’s white, embroidered pairs. Additionally, classic flannel pajamas are another big win. My favorites are this Apres Ski set from Petite Plume, or, once again, Printfresh (their flannel, in particular, is thinner than most, and I find it a little more comfortable to wear).
But! There’s a whole big world out there, and there are a ton of really cute, really cozy pajama sets that look nothing like the classic, menswear styles. And this year, I found myself searching for something a little different. Here are the sets that caught my eye.

1. Lunya Reversible Pocket Sweatshirt + Joggers
While this may *look* like a classic sweatsuit, this (admittedly pricey) set from Lunya is actually a blend of cotton and washable silk. It’s also reversible, with the reverse texture looking like a fuzzy, cuddly bear. I’ve tried 100% silk sets in the past and while they’re great for summer months, I never wear them in the winter. This, however…COME TO MAMA.
2. THE GREAT. SLEEP Long Johns + Henley Top
I bought these! They’re made from a lightweight, thin cotton that is plenty soft (not sure what that one reviewer was talking about). The only thing that gives me pause is that the longjohn stitching on the leg is tighter (click through and zoom in to see) than you’d expect. It’s not uncomfortable, but you definitely feel it. It honestly gives these PJs that sort of long-john, drop-crotch thing that makes them kind of cool, but it was a little surprising.
Also Try: Those Victoria Secret Thermal Long-John sets were the inspiration for this entire post (remember those??), Target also has a very similar set, as does Old Navy.
3. Free People Sugar Cookie Flannel Pajamas

I love the idea of an easy pants-and-sweatshirt set done in really lightweight flannel. Also available in a plaid with hot pinks and oranges (looks much better than its sounds, haha).
4. Heart Pajamas
Ok, this IS a classic, flannel PJ set, but it’s also handmade and so dreamy. If you like this fabric, there’s also a wrap-top PJ set available, that is a really cool twist on the classic.
5. Lake DreamModal Ribbon Set
I love how this simple set is elevated with a contrasting waist ribbon. There’s actually a ton of these long-sleeve sets out there right now, and there’s something both sweet and chic about them.
Also Try: The details on this Cozyland by Morgan Lane Set are SO good (especially that neckline), but if you are as intrigued by LAKE PJs as I am…be sure to check out this cute ditsy floral set.
6. Barefoot Dreams Ribbed Tank + Pants
A fuzzy tank? Say less. This whole set is also available in a seriously pretty brown, too (tank, bottoms, cardi), although I’d swap out the classic cardigan for this cozy piece.
Also Try: If you prefer your fuzzy stuff in natural fibers, Quince has a cashmere set that’s really cute (top, bottoms) – but size up for a slouchier look.
7. Lunya Check Cotton & Modal Flannel Pajamas
While this *looks* like a traditional PJ set, the cut is really something special. Of course, the posed model does NOT do this set justice, but if you take a peek at Lunya’s website, you can see what I’m talking about (another photo in the men’s pj product listing).
8. Joyspun Embossed Plush Hoodie + Joggers Set
Do I WANT to dress like a snowball? 100% yes absolutely. I don’t know if it’s the snowflake pattern (so festive!) or the over-the-top cozy vibes, but I can’t get this one out of my mind. And guys: it’s freaking $15, and has over 270 almost 5-star reviews. Also appreciate that the sizing is from XS – 2XL. Gahhhh it’s so cute.
9. SKIMS Boyfriend Long Sleeve T-Shirt + Loose Pants
Oh man – this one is selling fast. I love the tiny little skiers on this one – so unexpected.
Also Try: This set has a similar vibe, or SKIMS has this exact same set in a cute little mushroom print, too.
10. La Ligne Bonne Nuit Pajamas
These are the sexiest and(!!) most comfortable classic pajamas I’ve EVER tried. They’re actually made from a super soft, 100% cotton t-shirt fabric, so there’s a ton of move and give. The fit is impeccable, and the details are so freaking cool. The legs are really long, too, so if you’re tall, go nuts (the rest of us will have to hem – but they’re worth it). I cannot recommend this set highly enough. Love, love, love.
Also Try: Petite Plume’s Astaire Pajamas (also in black) – they’re made from similar material, and has some similar details, too. The inseam, however, is shorter (don’t know the exact measurements, but after washing mine are long, but not ridiculously so – I never bothered hemming).
11. UGG Raechelle Two-Piece Wrap Set
Gahhhh another set that’s almost sold out!! But I get it: it’s so glamorous. Like something Katherine Hepburn would’ve rocked.
Also Try: If you’re drawn to something wildly glamorous and velour, check out this set. Otherwise, if it’s the wrap-jacket-as-top, then Lake pajamas has a cute set, as well as this flannel wrap set on Etsy.
